■ Daily Life of a Working Adult Art Student

I am enrolled in the Art Writing Course, Department of Art, Faculty of Art at Kyoto University of the Arts (formerly Kyoto University of Art and Design) Correspondence Division.
I transferred into the third year in April 2019 and aimed to graduate in the 2023 academic year (March 2024).

⇒ I graduated safely in March 2024!!!

At university, I struggle daily to learn the basic knowledge of world art history and art theory, while also honing specialized approaches such as art research and criticism, and skills for creating critical writing that communicates effectively to others.

The specialized subjects of the Art Writing Course are:
・Description
・Criticism (Critical Essay)
・Methodology of Art Research
・Archival Materials and Artistic Expression
・Art Publishing
・Methods for objectively discovering, investigating, and considering local cultural assets

In parallel, I also studied subjects such as:
・General world art history from pre-history to the present
・Aesthetics
・Art theory (various Eastern and Western classics)
・Copyright
・Japanese archaeology
・Folklore and popular culture (focusing on the modern and postwar periods)
・Methodology of interviews and reporting
