6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
וְנֹחַ מָצָא חֵן בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה׃
Venoach matza chen be'einei Yahweh.
And Noah / found / grace / in the eyes of / the Lord.
6:9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
אֵלֶּה תּוֹלְדֹת נֹחַ נֹחַ אִישׁ צַדִּיק תָּמִים הָיָה בְּדֹרֹתָיו אֶת־הָֽאֱלֹהִים הִתְהַלֶּךְ־נֹחַ׃
Elle toldot Noach, Noach ish tsaddik tamim hayah bedorotav, et ha'elohim hithallech Noach.
These / the generations of / Noah / Noah / man / righteous / perfect / was / in his generations / with / God / walked / Noah.
6:10 And Noah begat three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
וַיּוֹלֶד נֹחַ שְׁלֹשָׁה בָנִים אֶת־שֵׁם אֶת־חָם וְאֶת־יָפֶת׃
Vayyoled Noach sheloshah banim, et Shem et Cham ve'et Yaphet.
Begat / Noah / three / sons / Shem / Ham / and Japheth.
6:11 The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
וַתִּשָּׁחֵת הָאָרֶץ לִפְנֵי הָֽאֱלֹהִים וַתִּמָּלֵא הָאָרֶץ חָמָס׃
Vattishachet ha'aretz lifnei ha'elohim, vattimmale ha'aretz chamas.
Was corrupt / the earth / before / God / and was filled / the earth / with violence.
6:12 So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים אֶת־הָאָרֶץ וְהִנֵּה נִשְׁחָתָה כִּי־הִשְׁחִית כָּל־בָּשָׂר אֶת־דַּרְכּוֹ עַל־הָאָרֶץ׃
Vayyar Elohim et ha'aretz vehinneh nishchatah, ki hishchit kol basar et darko al ha'aretz.
And saw / God / the earth / and behold / it was corrupt / because / had corrupted / all / flesh / its way / on / the earth.
6:13 And God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth."
וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים לְנֹחַ קֵץ כָּל־בָּשָׂר בָּא לְפָנַי כִּי־מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חָמָס מִפְּנֵיהֶם וְהִנְנִי מַשְׁחִיתָם אֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃
Vayyo'mer Elohim leNoach, ketz kol basar ba lefanai, ki mal'ah ha'aretz chamas mippeneichem, vehinneni mashchitam et ha'aretz.
And said / God / to Noah / the end / of all / flesh / has come / before Me / because / is filled / the earth / with violence / from before them / and behold I / will destroy them / with / the earth.
6:14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.
עֲשֵׂה לְךָ תֵּבַת עֲצֵי־גֹפֶר קִנִּים תַּעֲשֶׂה אֶת־הַתֵּבָה וְכָפַרְתָּ אֹתָהּ מִבַּיִת וּמִחוּץ בַּכֹּפֶר׃
Aseh lekha tevat atsei-gofer, kinim ta'aseh et-hatevah, vekhafarta otah mibayit umichutz bakofer.
Make / for yourself / an ark / of wood / gopher / rooms / make / in the ark / cover / it / inside / and outside / with pitch.
6:15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
וְזֶה אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָהּ שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת אַמָּה אֹרֶךְ הַתֵּבָה חֲמִשִׁים אַמָּה רָחְבָּהּ וּשְׁלֹשִׁים אַמָּה קוֹמָתָהּ׃
Vezeh asher ta'aseh otah, shelos me'ot ama orekh hatevah, chamishim ama rochbah, ushloshim ama komatah.
And this / that you shall make / it / three hundred / cubits / length / of the ark / fifty / cubits / width / thirty / cubits / height.
6:16 You shall make a window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side; you shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.
צֹהַר תַּעֲשֶׂה לַתֵּבָה וְאֶל־אַמָּה תְּכַלֶּנָּה מִלְמַעְלָה וּפֶתַח הַתֵּבָה בְּצִדָּהּ תָּשִׂים תַּחְתִּיִּם שְׁנִיִּם וּשְׁלִשִׁים תַּעֲשֶׂהָ׃
Tzohar ta'aseh latevah, ve'el-ama techalennah milma'alah, ufetach hatevah betzidah tasim, tachtiyim sheniyim ushlishim ta'aseha.
A window / make / for the ark / to a cubit / finish it / from above / a door / of the ark / in its side / set / first floor / second floor / third floor / make.
6:17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die.
וַאֲנִי הִנְנִי מֵבִיא אֶת־הַמַּבּוּל מַיִם עַל־הָאָרֶץ לְשַׁחֵת כָּל־בָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר־בּוֹ רוּחַ חַיִּים מִתַּחַת הַשָּׁמָיִם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־בָּאָרֶץ יִגְוָע׃
Va'ani hineni mevi et-hamabul mayim al-ha'aretz leshachet kol-basar asher-bo ruach chayim mitachat hashamayim, kol asher-ba'aretz yigva.
And I / behold I / bring / a flood / of water / on the earth / to destroy / all / flesh / in which / is / breath / of life / from under / heaven / all / that is on the earth / shall die.
6:18 But I will establish My covenant with you; you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.
וַהֲקִמֹתִי אֶת־בְּרִיתִי אִתָּךְ וּבָאתָ אֶל־הַתֵּבָה אַתָּה וּבָנֶיךָ וְאִשְׁתְּךָ וּנְשֵׁי־בָנֶיךָ אִתָּךְ׃
Vahakimoti et-beriti itach, uva'ta el-hatevah atah uvanekha ve'ishtekha uneshei-vanekha itach.
And I will establish / my covenant / with you / and you shall enter / into the ark / you / your sons / your wife / and the wives of your sons / with you.
6:19 And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.
וּמִכָּל־הָחַי מִכָּל־בָּשָׂר שְׁנַיִם מִכֹּל תָּבִיא אֶל־הַתֵּבָה לְהַחֲיֹת אִתָּךְ זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה יִהְיוּ׃
Umikol-hachay mikol-basar shenayim mikol tavi el-hatevah lechayot itach, zachar unekevah yihyu.

6:20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.
מֵהָעוֹף לְמִינֵהוּ וּמִן־הַבְּהֵמָה לְמִינָהּ מִכֹּל רֶמֶשׂ הָֽאֲדָמָה לְמִינֵהוּ שְׁנַיִם מִכֹּל יָבֹאוּ אֵלֶיךָ לְהַחֲיוֹת׃

6:21 And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them."
וְאַתָּה קַח־לְךָ מִכָּל־מַאֲכָל אֲשֶׁר יֵאָכֵל וְאָסַפְתָּ אֵלֶיךָ וְהָיָה לְךָ וְלָהֶם לְאָכְלָה׃
Ve'atah kach-lekha mikol-ma'achal asher ye'achel, ve'asafta eleicha, vehaya lekha velahem le'ochlah.
And you / take / for yourself / of all / food / that / is eaten / and gather / to yourself / and it shall be / for you / and for them / for food.
6:22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.
וַיַּעַשׂ נֹחַ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה אֹתוֹ אֱלֹהִים כֵּן עָשָׂה׃
Vaya'as Noach kechol asher tzivah oto Elohim, ken asah.
