Objective
Using the gnome-weather application, an Ubuntu user can retrieve weather information for any location specified. The gnome-weather application will be also incorporated into the default desktop calendar window.

Requirements
Privileged access to your Ubuntu System as root or via sudo command is required.

Instructions
To install the Gnome Weather application open up terminal and enter the following linux command:
$ sudo apt install gnome-weather
After the installation you can start the Gnome Weather application directly from the
Activities menu. 
Gnome Weather on Ubuntu 18.04. To select your location hit the
Places button.
Gnome Weather is also integrated into the default Calendar window. You will need to re-login to see your whether information there.
