April Gratitude: Six Months of Writing That Connected Me to Someone
April Gratitude: Six Months of Writing That Connected Me to Someone
At the end of April, another quiet gift arrived.
Today, Thursday morning.
I received my fifth Congratulatory Board.
Knowing that someone read my work
is enough to gently fill my heart.
And, before I knew it,
exactly
six months have passed since I started writing like this.
At first, I was writing with the feeling of
simply letting out what was inside me.
Without knowing if it would reach anyone, I was still using words to
verify my own self.
Little by little, that
caught someone's eye,
touched someone's heart,
and began to return to me
in the form of these Congratulatory Boards.
I feel that these six months
were not just 'time spent writing,'
but also time spent gradually receiving
invisible connections with others.
I have been recording the accumulation of everyday life, which is by no means special,
and yet, knowing there are people who receive it,
and that it returns to me in this form,
makes me feel once again how truly grateful I am.
I feel that a Congratulatory Board
is not just a 'congratulations,'
but something like 'support' from people connected in invisible ways.
Those who felt the same way,
those who were reminded of something,
those who happened to pause and read,
each one of those moments
quietly overlaps to create this single piece.
There is a present now that I could not have imagined six months ago.
Even though it seems like I am writing alone, I am not alone.
Words connect with someone.
I am being taught this over and over again.
To everyone who has read my work so far.
To those who gave me likes,
to those who read quietly,
to those who shared their thoughts somewhere.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
From here on out,
I would like to continue to cherish and put into words
the small realizations born in the kitchen and the moments in daily life, one by one.
At the end of April.
At the six-month milestone.
With gratitude.
