The 'Garden of Words' June Writing Project: 'My Obsession' [Introducing Submitted Works]
Hello.
I am Kaze no Boushi, the organizer of the membership 'Garden of Words'.
We have members who love to write, those with an inquisitive mind, and those who deeply cherish creative and cultural activities.
I am happy to say that we now have over 60 members👏
I am very pleased to have connected with such wonderful people😊
The concept of the community is 'Enriching yourself through writing'.
People who want to 'grow their note' are also joining one after another!
An environment where we can support each other while posting on note🌸
With that thought in mind, I continue to manage the membership every day.
Now, in the 'Garden of Words', we decide on a theme each month and invite those who think, 'I might want to write about that theme,' to contribute.
The articles you write will be added to the magazine below▼
The number of works added to this magazine has exceeded 200!
These are works submitted to the 'Garden of Words' membership project.
So, let's introduce what was submitted this month.
(*If you wrote something but it hasn't been introduced, I apologize for the trouble, but please let me know.)
The theme this time is,
My Obsession
is the theme.
Well then, let's introduce them right away!
1. Shall I talk about my obsession?
Chabohachi | Unexpected parenting by someone with borderline intellectual functioning and school refusal
Chabohachi-san wrote about their obsession with specific body parts. These kinds of fetishistic elements have their own unique colors, which is very interesting. I think it took courage to write about it, too. By the way, the photo below is apparently a close-up of a cow's nose.'Hey you, look at my nostrils!' It has that kind of vibe, and I like the image lol
2. Miike Neeko-san▼
'The XX I dearly love'
Miike Neeko-san loves to understand how things work. I think she is very curious. I can really relate to the feeling that it's fun to imagine the origins and background of things. I'm sure she is also good at grasping things structurally. This kind of geeky perspective is really great🌸
3. Kouhaha-san
The manga I currently dearly love
Kouhaha-san says she is hooked on LINE Manga. She is obsessed with a work called 'Uridutatsu no Musume' (The Identical Daughter). Since she is aware that her own senses are 'visually dominant,' manga must be a very good fit for her. In this day and age, you can enjoy content immediately with just a smartphone or tablet, so it has become easier to access. If you haven't read 'The Identical Daughter' yet, please do.
4. Nozomin | A swaying maiden, 44 years old
'Sorry' is for those who need it
Nozomin-san wrote about a former colleague from her time as a nursery teacher with whom she is very much on the same wavelength. The humorous expression 'not a healer, but a heater' is really funny. It seems she has many opportunities to have lunch with 'Heater-san,' and even Nozomin-san, who usually ends up being the listener, finds herself talking about various things in front of Heater-san. Reading about it, I could feel how much fun the time they spend together is.
5. Miyu | Someone who organizes the difficulty of living
I wasn't reading a book
Miyu-san, who says she found a hint in Miike Neeko-san's article. She has read a great many books, and in this piece, she delves deep into what lies at the core of that act. People often don't realize that things they can do as easily as breathing are their own strengths because they seem so natural, but for Miyu-san, reading might be exactly that.🌸
⑥ CHIEMIN-san ▼
I want to become a Super Hotel ambassador.
When I think of CHIEMIN-san, I imagine someone who stays at many hotels. This time, she posted many photos and wrote extensively about the charm of hotels. When people talk about things they love, their passion naturally comes through. CHIEMIN-san's love for Super Hotel overflowed from the article, making me feel happy.
⑦ Toshiko @ Awai no Jikan-san
The ballpoint pens I love dearly
This is just a personal observation, but it seems there are quite a lot of women who love stationery. Toshiko-san is one of them. This time, she wrote about the ballpoint pens she loves. With such a rich variety of colors and types, it really came across that she cherishes each and every one of them. For someone who writes frequently, they aren't just items but companions to be adored, and having stationery around like that is soothing.
⑧ Ongaku Kojizo-san
Things I love dearly
Ongaku Kojizo-san wrote about bread, which she loves. I'm sure there are many people who love bread. I love bread so much that just walking past a bakery makes me want to skip. As mentioned in the article, just looking at a croissant makes my stomach growl. It was a charming article that will happily stimulate any bread lover.
⑨ Shion-san
[Garden of Words Project] The ○○ I love dearly
Shion-san wrote about her feelings for Fujii Kaze. I have the impression that many people participating in the "Garden of Words" are fans of Fujii Kaze. What was interesting about this article was the focus on names. There is a certain commonality between Fujii Kaze's family and Shion-san's name. Discoveries like this are truly delightful.🌸
⑩ Yamano Sumire-san
My obsession
Yamano Sumire-san, who admits that she is a bit biased. When she dug into what "obsession" meant to her, she arrived at the answer that she loves "finding new spots." When we are children, everything is a new spot and feels fresh, and perhaps that doesn't change even when we become adults. The more curious a person is, the more they are likely to be fascinated by unknown environments.🌸
⑪ Hibiki no Essayist | haRu*☽-san
A lesson in love, called obsession
haRu*☽-san, who went so far as to move house so that her beloved dogs, Moko-chan and Meru-chan, could have a garden to run around in to their hearts' content. Seeing the things you love spending time freely is certainly soothing just to watch. I imagine it also releases plenty of oxytocin, the love hormone. So, paw pads have a fragrant scent, do they?🌸
⑫ Watanabe Madoka-san
I love expressions that convey emotions in their entirety
Watanabe Madoka-san wrote about how she is drawn to works that delve deep into emotions, using examples. While citing the blockbuster movie "Kokuhou" (National Treasure) as an example, she clearly articulated her desire for characters' emotions to be explored even more deeply. Catchy works can sometimes just skim the surface because they are easy to understand. Works that truly approach the depths certainly leave a mark.
⑬ Minaka Haruka (note writer)-san
I'm sorry! Actually, I'm a novel geek. I love them so much I can't return to reality♡ [Garden of Words Project]
Minaka Haruka-san, who has read many novels by Haruki Murakami, Kotaro Isaka, and Kaori Ekuni. Personally, I was happy to find that our reading tastes and tendencies are quite similar.🌸 I wonder if many people trip into another world when reading novels? It was an article that would make any novel lover nod in agreement over and over.
⑭ Nao no Engawa-san
Asking for a calculator as a birthday present.
Nao no Engawa-san, who says she loves calculators. She writes about the calculators she has adored over the years. The feeling of typing on a calculator is pleasant, isn't it? If you type rhythmically—tap-tap-tap!—it somehow becomes fun. The visuals might also be a factor that makes you want to support them. It was an interesting piece with a unique angle.
⑮ Sara | How to create a self-axis to escape the self-denial loop-san My beloved stories📚✨ #GardenOfWords #JuneWritingProject
Sara-san, who wrote passionately about "a protagonist who never gives up." Sara-san is someone who truly loves stories from the heart, and that high level of enthusiasm comes through naturally in the article. Anyone who has had the experience of having daily stress sublimated by the catharsis of a story will surely empathize with Sara-san's article.
⑯ Crystal Junko-san ▼
Obsession: That person I want to embrace
Crystal Junko-san gathered her courage to take on this month's project. As an organizer, I am very happy to see people taking that step forward 🌸 She has written extensively about her obsession with Kuniko Mukoda. Crystal Junko-san's switch for love toward Kuniko Mukoda was flipped again due to a certain trigger. It came across in her writing that she possesses a delicate sensibility for imagining emotions from text.
⑰ Ai | My Life Walking with Hesitation-san ▼
The XX I love dearly
Ai-san wrote about her beloved dog, Domas-kun. She has included some very cute photos 🐶 She writes that perhaps she is the one receiving love from Domas-kun, but that must be because Ai-san is always giving him plenty of love in return.
⑱ Sara / Life Observation Diary-san ▼
My Obsession: "The Jetstream I've been buying for 15 years"
Sara-san wrote about her beloved stationery. Her love for stationery seeps through in the high resolution of her writing. It seems the 0.38mm extra-fine pen core is easy to use, and after reading the article, I wanted to try it myself. Sara-san's essays are lighthearted yet leave something behind after reading. Please read the article by Sara-san, a wonderful essayist who carefully weaves words that are true to life 🌸
⑲ Kaze no Boushi ▼
Garden of Words "My Obsession"
Finally, it is me, Kaze no Boushi.
I wrote about the turtles I have loved since I was a child.
Even as I write this article, they are rustling around in the same room 🐢
Thank you for always contributing such wonderful articles.
If there is anyone who participated in the project but is not included in this summary article, I would appreciate it if you could let me know in the comments section.
