[Notice] I have reorganized my magazines as my note articles have become too numerous.
Hello, I am a monkey living in Oaxaca.
Before I knew it, the number of my note articles had increased quite a bit.
As of now, I have published 220 articles. Haha.
When I first started note, I thought I would write about Oaxaca.
However, this year, as I look back on my 20 years of living in Oaxaca, I find myself wanting to write about more than just Oaxaca.
Information about Oaxaca, Mexican culture and life, essays on personal boundaries, photography, cameras, and even how to interact with AI.
As I wrote about whatever interested me, the themes expanded before I knew it. Haha.
So, for those reading for the first time, the
"problem of not knowing where to start reading"has arisen, so I have reorganized my magazines by theme.
I expect to be quite busy with Guelaguetza in the latter half of July.
I might stop updating for a while, but I would be happy if you could enjoy my past articles during that time.
I have organized them by theme, from articles that serve as a reference for traveling to Oaxaca, to stories that can only be written because I live here, to articles for photography enthusiasts.
Please feel free to read from the topics that interest you.
Some of these are consolidations of past magazines, so I would be happy if you could follow the new magazines as well.

Now, here is a trivial thing I recently noticed about note.
Currently on note, if you click the number next to the heart icon, you can see who has liked that article. Anyone can.
Whoa!!! When did that happen???
When I first started note, I heard that "who liked an article is not visible to others."
So, I was secretly (or so I thought) liking my own articles. Haha.
The reason is that I had heard that by liking your own articles, you can strategically get an initial boost on note, making it easier to be displayed in recommendations.
...So, I was diligently practicing that. Haha.
When I actually looked, I was relieved to see that there are surprisingly many people who like their own articles. (Hey, hey)
Also, I often receive likes from people who don't have a note account via external social media or search. Thank you always!
In that case, I realized that while it is reflected in the number next to the heart, it is not displayed in the list if there is no account.
Honestly, as an author, it is natural to have the feeling that "I want people to read this" for the articles I write. Initial like speed is important. Haha.
Besides, I often find myself reading my own articles over and over, praising them by saying, "This is interesting." (Do I have too much free time?)
I'll read my articles about tacos or tortillas and think, "I want to eat tacos de cazuela today," and then go out to eat them.
I'm basically asking myself, "Just how much do you love your own note?"
But honestly, I feel like if I can't even read my own work and think, "This is interesting," then others won't be able to enjoy it either. lol
By the way, here are the articles that I personally think are "interesting."
Strangely enough, the articles that I think are "interesting" are the ones that you all end up reading as well.
And those specific articles are the ones that I can write with divine inspiration, flowing effortlessly.
(What am I bragging about? lol)
Lately, when I think, "Oh, this writing pattern... has a god descended?" I've been unofficially certifying them as "god-tier articles" in my head. lol
...And that was my pointless reflection on note.
Well then, I'll post again once Guelaguetza settles down.
...Though it might be sooner than you think. lol
Once Guelaguetza ends, the next season is the Day of the Dead.
From here in Oaxaca, I plan to share various things, including information on the 2026 Day of the Dead, as well as seasonal topics and daily events.
If you don't want to miss any information, I would be happy if you followed "Saru. Oaxaca no Hito" and waited for my updates.
Regarding the Day of the Dead in Oaxaca, I wrote an article like this last year as well.
I will be delivering updates from the local area again this year. Look forward to it.
