[Collaborative Magazine Member] I took a deep dive into yukariyajp's 'Namiuchigiwa Sketch' opening 🎥
I'm LaLaLa, currently in the trial-and-error phase!
Today, I'd like to introduce yukariyajp!
Namiuchigiwa Sketch has already been serialized up to 247 episodes.
The quality of the novels, images, video generation, and YouTube content is astonishing across the board.
They seem like disconnected stories, yet they are connected somewhere.
A calculated story progression.
It makes my own work look like a child's drawing.
I will be introducing the memorable first 9 episodes of this 247-episode story
along with NotebookML.

A story woven together by AI and humans in 2026: Behind the scenes of 'Namiuchigiwa Sketch' production
'Who am I?' 'Why do I live?'—A new creative experiment is underway, exploring these fundamental questions with a sensibility unique to the 'now' of 2026.
Set on the beautiful seaside of Shonan and Kamakura, **'Namiuchigiwa Sketch: A Youth Story Created with AI'** is a fantasy novel crafted through ongoing dialogue between the author and AI.
In this article, we will introduce the behind-the-scenes of how this work was born and the thoughts infused into it.
1. A story that began from a 'boundary'
The starting point of the story was the author's intuition, felt while walking on the sandy beaches of Shichirigahama, Yuigahama, and Zushi in Kamakura, that **'the shoreline might be a boundary of some kind.'**
The sea is a place that connects the past and present, reality and the otherworld, and the hearts of people. When standing at this 'boundary,' one encounters their true self—this theme flows at the foundation of the work.
2. AI is a 'partner in weaving the story together'
A major feature of this work is the use of AI at every stage of production.
Dialogue with Copilot: Copilot is primarily responsible for drafting the flow of the story, character concepts, generating scene images, and refining the manuscript. The author mentions that the story's themes have deepened because the AI's suggestions and constraints have exceeded their own imagination and forced them to reconsider certain aspects.
Latest video generation: Beyond just still images, the author uses tools like Veo3 and FLOW to bring the excitement of moving pictures to the readers.
Strategic consultation: For contest strategy (#CreativeAward2026), such as which category to apply to, the author also used AI advice to select the 'Fantasy Novel Category'.
3. A multi-layered worldview
The story begins with the 'Youth Arc,' featuring the art club, judo club, and choir club at Nagiwagiwa High School, and gradually expands into a grand scale that transcends time and space.
The history of Kamakura and the memories of Rokudai Gozen.
The Reconquista (Christian reconquest) of the medieval Iberian Peninsula.
The prayers of pharaohs and queens in ancient Egypt.
The memories of these different eras ebb and flow like waves, overlapping with the daily lives of modern high school students.
4. Even the 'imperfections' are endearing
In AI-generated images, sometimes a character's face changes or their clothing is inconsistent.
However, the author intentionally leaves these as they are, viewing them as an 'amateur's challenge,' and publishes them without correction. Including those imperfections, the work captures the atmosphere of the year 2026 with a handmade warmth.

They even wrote six episodes for my project!
Thank you 🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬
They recently opened a membership!
For the Nagiwagiwa Sketch side story, they wrote my 66,000-character long novel while I was around elementary school age, feeling like I was doing a summer vacation book report assignment at Saint Marc Cafe, while drinking an iced coffee where the ice had completely melted.
