Report on 300 followers, and I've applied for Literature Flea Market 43.

Before I knew it, I had over 300 followers.

Thank you to everyone who reads my work. Your likes, comments, and additions to your magazines—not to mention the fact that you quietly read my posts—are a huge encouragement to me.

I started this note as a record of my bento lunches and daily life, but before I knew it, I was writing essays, creating magazines, entering the Creative Awards, and finally, I've even applied for the Literature Flea Market.

How did things turn out this way?
This kind of process wasn't on my life's schedule.

I applied for the Literature Flea Market

As the title says, I applied for Literature Flea Market 43.
I had always intended to make a book. However, I've always been the type to take a long time preparing.

I have the desire to do it. But I lack the knowledge. So I try to study before I act. And then, I start by preparing to study. At this point, I'm already taking a huge detour.

That's why I'm attending a ZINE school starting in August,
thinking I would learn how to make a book from scratch.

If anyone else is participating, I look forward to seeing you from August onwards. If you see a lanky person with glasses acting suspiciously at a booth, that's probably me.

Even though I was thinking about making a book, I thought the Literature Flea Market was still a long way off.

The reason I applied now is because of,
Udojo-san.

The other day, when I lightly nudged them by saying, 'Why don't you try making a book?', they surprisingly applied for the Literature Flea Market in less than a week.

Their ability to take action is incredible.
In my mind, Udojo-san is already the Yosano Akiko of the Reiwa era.

I had meant to say it as lightly as 'Why don't you go for a walk?', but the other person was already on the bullet train.
When I saw that article at Nagoya Station while on a business trip, I couldn't help but look at my smartphone twice.

Moreover, the binding method, content, display, and business cards were all undecided. Yet, they still applied.

I was quite shaken.
I had thought I would learn from August, then think about it, then prepare...

But if someone next to me suddenly takes off, I can't just stand still. So, I applied too.

I intended to push them, but instead, I was dragged along.
I imagine the view from someone water-skiing must be something like this.

As of now, almost nothing is decided other than making a book.
However, by applying first, my mind is made up.
Udojo-san, thank you for the spark.

I'm probably the type of person who can't start walking unless I create an exit first. Though this time, rather than an exit, it feels like I dug a pit at the entrance and fell into it myself.

Now that I've applied, I have no choice but to do it.

I will work on making my book little by little for the Literature Flea Market.
To those who are also entering, I look forward to working with you.

I want to increase my shelves

A while ago, I created my own magazine on note. In it, there is a shelf called 'Contours'.

Originally, I intended to put self-introductions, representative works, and articles that convey a person's atmosphere in there.

However, everyone writes such interesting articles that it filled up immediately. Recently, when I'm in doubt, I just put them on this shelf, so I want to categorize them a bit more.

Recently, I've been worrying about how to store the many ZINEs of different sizes I bought at my first Literature Flea Market and ZINE festival on my bookshelf at home. I never thought I'd be troubled by shelves I made, both in reality and on note.

In particular, I have a desire to put short jokes, funny articles, articles that are short but strangely memorable, and articles with a single sentence I want to reread later on a different shelf.

However, I can't think of a good name.
I've been doing a lot of things on the fly since earlier.
If you have any good ideas, please let me know.

To those who added my articles to their magazines

To everyone who has added my articles to their magazines since my last post, thank you very much.
This time, too, it will be a brief introduction, but
I would like to feature you.

Finally

Thank you so much for 300 followers.

I have come to a place I never imagined when I started note. Next, I will begin studying bookmaking and ZINEs for the Literature Flea Market.

Since I started this with a lot of things still up in the air, my update frequency might drop a little, but I will continue to write.

I will keep making bento, writing essays, and reading other people's articles. I will probably also keep worrying about the names of my shelves.

I look forward to your continued support.

The end.

Lastly, for those who liked this piece or those who are reading my articles for the first time, I have written a self-introduction essay. I worked hard to write it so that it conveys who I am, so I would be happy if you could read it.

There is also a magazine called "Bento Records"
that compiles all my bento and essays so far.
