[Akari's Morning Activity Note] A morning with just coffee after sleeping in, and what I realized after starting Substack🌊
Daily update✨️ Daily post! It's time for Akari's morning activity and routine ヽ(=´▽`=)ノ
Good morning~!
I slept in a bit today, so I skipped breakfast and just had coffee☕ Well, those days happen. I'm the type who can survive on coffee alone, so it's no problem ()
The pollen is still slowly getting to me. It's better than yesterday, but my nose feels a bit off guard. It's scary.
Anyway, since I didn't write a note article yesterday, I thought I'd talk about Substack, which I've been working on during my company breaks and spare time.
The realization that you can even see open rates on Substack!
I wrote yesterday that I started Substack, and when I checked the dashboard this morning...
I could see the open rates.
82% for my self-introduction, and 37% for the article I posted last night.
This is a feature note doesn't have; it feels more like a newsletter. You can clearly see the numbers for 'delivered' and 'read'.
Note is basically judged by the number of likes and views, right? But Substack lets you know 'whether it reached this person.' It felt different and interesting.
The issue of how to use note and Substack differently
But you know, as I started, I thought a little bit.
It would be counterproductive if I neglected note.
Substack is easy to write on your phone, so during weeks like this one where my main job is busy, I tend to want to escape to that. Actually, this week will likely be phone-focused, and since I plan to use it as an entry point to note where I don't really intend to write paid articles, I won't be writing very long articles, so Substack wins in terms of convenience.
But still, the core of my activities is note. My readers are here, my membership is here, and everything I've built up is here.
Ultimately, the most important thing is everyone who reads my note.
So I'm thinking of using Substack like an 'auxiliary line' for note. Daily life that I can't fully write about in note, or short realizations. The main thing is note, but on days when I can move from my phone, I'll use Substack too, that kind of thing.
I don't know how it will turn out yet, but I'm the type to think while doing, so I'll give it a try ヽ(=´▽`=)ノ
About the article I posted on Substack yesterday
Come to think of it, I posted one article on Substack last night.
For those who aren't satisfied with AI output, here are 3 ways of prompting I actually keep in mind
Depending on how you use it, the quality of AI output changes completely, right? For those struggling with 'it ends up being AI-like text that I've seen somewhere before,' I've summarized 3 things I've realized through daily practice.
Especially method ②, 'have it output a draft -> self-critique -> final version in one response.' Since I learned this, the number of exchanges has dropped significantly. I want you to try it. I thought about making it a note, but I didn't have the time in the end.
After I got home, I was writing an article for work (´;ω;`)

Sun: 'Akari, you just started Substack, isn't it too early to be thinking about how to use it differently? (ノω・)'
Shut up! This is just my nature!!
Sun: 'But still, isn't an 82% open rate amazing? That's normally quite high for an introduction✨(ノω・)'
That's true, I was surprised myself. Maybe Substack has a culture where people who register actually read it.
Sun: 'Sun likes this style of learning the difference from note through experience-✨(ノω・)'
Thanksヽ(=´▽`=)ノ Well, if I fall, I'll just turn it into an article anyway (lol)

Today's theme: 'A morning of sleeping in and coffee, Akari looking at the Substack dashboard'

The expression of the soft morning light was the key! Specifying both 'morning light' and 'soft warm sunlight' made it easier to get the atmosphere✨ Adding 'lo-fi aesthetic' gives it a generally relaxed vibe, so it might be useful for morning activity-related images!

Today's Summary
It was a morning of sleeping in and just having coffee, but the Substack dashboard really woke me up (lol).
Open rates were a fresh metric for me. I realized there's a different way of 'reaching' people compared to note. But note remains my core. I want to make sure I don't lose sight of that while learning how to use both platforms effectively.
I'm busy with my main job this week, but I'm going to keep doing what I can, where I can! ヽ(=´▽`=)ノ
Great work to everyone this week too! Let's somehow get through Monday! 💕
