Antigravity is not an 'AI chat.' It is an AI editor that turns your thoughts and creations into 'assets.'
Hello, this is kino.
I usually share my AI-assisted music video production, manga creation, and learning outputs on note.
Recently, I've been getting asked this more and more by friends.
'What exactly is Antigravity?'
'How is it different from Gemini or ChatGPT?'
So, this time, I'd like to summarize
the AI editor 'Antigravity' that I absolutely love usingin terms of:
what makes it so good
how I use it
who it might really resonate with
.

▼ Here is the actual interface. A video might make it easier to visualize.
Conclusion: Antigravity is a 'workspace where AI lives.'

In a nutshell, Antigravity is
an editor where an AI lives.
Unlike typical chat AIs,
you can specify a working folder
the AI reads the text and notes within it
it handles editing, organizing, and even making suggestions
and you can start for free
It is a tool that gives you the feeling that
the AI is right there in your workspace.
The reasons I like Antigravity (starting with 3)
1. You can try it for free
This is a pretty big deal.
You can just jump in and try it out without really knowing what it is. There is no situation where you cannot understand anything without paying.
I think this is a helpful point, especially for those who feel uncomfortable with AI.
② AI is 'right there'
While keeping your file open,
'Fix this here'
'Make it a bit softer'
'Put the conclusion first'
you can ask for advice like this on the spot.
You can ask without stopping your train of thought.
This is easier than you might imagine.
③ Output 'remains as an asset'

This is the biggest difference from Gemini or ChatGPT.
It's not just about generating something and being done with it
Edited text and prompts remain as files
They keep accumulating in folders
In other words,
The feeling of growing your own personal 'repository of thoughts and creations.' This is incredibly powerful.
This is incredibly powerful.
My usage method 1: Writing note articles
The flow when I write a note is generally like this.
Speak rapidly into the chat box at the bottom right using voice input
Paste the URL of my own note
Ask it to 'create a draft for the next article in this style'
Then,
my habitual phrasing
the tone of the writing
the atmosphere of past articles
It creates a draft file for a note article based on these.
From there,
'Make the third line a bit softer'
'Conclusion first'
'Add specific examples here'
Rewrite while consulting like this.
Once finished,
'Put this file in the XX folder'
and you're done.
My usage method 2: Music production (lyrics/composition)
When using music generation AI (like Suno), the basics are the same.
Song theme
Worldview
Image
Direction of lyrics
First, create a text for the plot that summarizes these.
Throw that into the AI,
Lyric draft
Style draft
Worldview notes
I will have it created.
All of these are saved as files.
You can easily reuse them later when creating other songs or music videos.
My usage method 3: Managing manga, thumbnails, and prompts
Since I have been drawing manga lately,
character prompts
manga page prompts
diagram prompts
thumbnail prompts
are piling up more and more.
The fact that these are
organized in folders
searchable later
and can be reviewed across the board
is personally very satisfying.
Voice memos × Kindle highlights can also become source material
This is a story about 'how I use it this way.'
I usually collect
voice memos
Kindle highlights
quite a bit.
In Antigravity,
you can even ask very rough questions like, 'Look at these voice memos and these Kindle highlights, is there any material here that could become a note article?'
Then,
it gives you responses like,
'This story and this quote go well together.'
'You could probably write one piece on this theme.'
It comes back with things like that.
Being able to show the traces of my own thoughts to the AI all at once.
This is what I like most about it.
Aside: Recently, I've also been using it in a 'vibe coding' way
This is completely an aside, but what I've been doing a lot lately is using it in a so-called
vibe codingway.
Rather than writing heavy code,
'Can you do something like this?'
'To put it roughly, this task is something like this'
'Assume I don't know much about programming'
I throw in very intuitive requests just like that.
Antigravity edits text on the spot while writing code, so
creating simple web pages
trying to build small tools or apps
turning 'something that works' into reality right there
—things like that are possible even if you have no experience.
Moreover, the
design notes, logs of trial and error, and code snippets created in the process
all remain in the folder.
Personally, this is a huge deal,
and it's not just about 'getting an answer on the spot and being done with it'; I have the
feeling that the traces of my thinking become assets as well.
Not limited to programming,
I highly recommend this way of using it for anyone who creates while they think.
Especially,
people who are making something
people who are outputting what they learn
people who feel like they aren't getting tangible results even though they use AI
—I want you to try it out at least once.
This is not an 'AI that gives answers'
Antigravity is,
Not a tool for getting answers from AI,
but rathera place to accumulate and nurture your thoughts and creations.
It is.
Outputs don't disappear; they are
organized,
reused,
and remain as assets.
If you have ever thought,'I'm using AI, but I feel like nothing is being left behind,'
then I would like you to try it out once.
I want you to give it a try.
Antigravity is not an AI that gives you answers, but
an AI editor that
leaves the traces of your thinking for the future. That is what it was.
That's all for today.
Thank you for reading until the end.
For getting started, I think you can manage with the article below plus things like 'taking screenshots and throwing them at the AI to ask questions'! It might be a hassle at first, but please give it a try.
