The First Hironobu-to Cup Winning Entries Announced. A Note of Thanks from Hironobu Tanaka! | #PreparationStudies Magazine Vol. 12
A note of thanks for entering the first "Hironobu-to Cup" and
a critique from Hironobu Tanaka, followed by the announcement of the winners.
Everyone,
thank you for participating in the
monumental first "Hironobu-to Cup"!!
Ichiro Furutachi's "Preparation Studies for Communicating"—the staff and I have read the thoughts and impressions
of everyone who purchased and read the book
a hundred times over.
Buying a book is hard work, and reading it is too.
Turning those thoughts into a piece of writing is even harder.
And sharing that with the world is
harder still.
You all "prepared" for that purpose.
And then you wrote and submitted your entries.
That is why everyone who entered is amazing!
Thank you!
Among them,
for the three entries that truly moved me,
I will be sending a coupon code
usable at the Hironobu & Co. ONLINE STORE.
1st place: A 2,000 yen coupon
2nd place: A 1,000 yen coupon
3rd place: A 500 yen coupon
Furthermore,
to express our gratitude for your participation in this "first" event,
we have decided to present a 200 yen participation coupon
to everyone who submitted an entry...!
The coupons will be sent
via note's DM feature at a later date.
I, Hironobu Tanaka, have read them all. Here are my comments, with gratitude.
Now then,
regarding your submitted entries,
if I may be so bold,
I would like to offer my comments with heartfelt thanks.
● Sachiko-san
An encounter introduced by my favorite publisher: Ichiro Furutachi's "Preparation Studies for Communicating"
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
What you see of a person is not all there is to them.
This is exactly what the author, Ichiro Furutachi, and we, the publisher, wanted to convey through this book.
I am very happy to hear that your own experiences as a school teacher resonated with what is written in this book.
Thank you, Sachiko-san!
● Sayaka Kanzaki
I thought, 'She's probably a genius, right?' but then I was struck by 'Preparation Studies for Communicating'.
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
I was selected for the Best Reviewer Award at the Creative Awards held on note.
Before attending the awards ceremony, I read as many notes as possible from the winners and scoured through last year's records.
In order to succeed at the first plate appearance of our meeting,
I made up my mind not to ask questions just for the sake of asking questions.
I realized that books don't actually resonate with things you know nothing about,
but rather with things you already know and are mentally prepared for,
and that is what makes them hit home.
Thank you, Sayaka Kanzaki.
● Atsuhiko Obata
'Seriousness' called 'Preparation'.
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
Whether it was a failure or a success no longer matters.
You chose to live in the future after writing, and you became serious about that preparation.
To put something out into the world, you need 'seriousness',
and seriousness and preparation are one and the same.
I learned a lot from this as well.
Thank you, Atsuhiko Obata!
● Yane Shari
Sexy Dynamite 'Preparation Studies for Communicating'
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
What was interesting about this reading experience was that
Mr. Furutachi's face kept popping into my head the whole time, and it felt like we were talking face-to-face.
I really wanted this book to be one where you could 'hear the voice'.
I am happy that you also mentioned my books 'You Should Write What You Want to Read.' and 'Meeting and Talking.'.
Thank you, Yaneshari-san.
● Takuwan-san
The storyteller's power of imagination, where fiction surpasses reality, and history is carved under the name of legend.
▪️Comment to Hironobu Tanaka
It was the moment when Furutachi-san's power of imagination and fiction rewrote history.
The true thrill of interesting conversation is actually neither fact nor evidence.
Essentially, it is a 'lie' created on the spot, but,
I realized through Takuwan-san's impressions that it is precisely for the sake of that 'lie'
that serious preparation is required.
Thank you, Takuwan-san!
● Merikomazaru-mono-san
A way of life not bound by cost-performance or time-performance: Reading Ichiro Furutachi's 'Preparation Studies for Conveying'
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
The content of the book goes beyond 'work preparation'
and smoothly reaches 'life preparation'.
Indeed, I created this book hoping that it would not just be 'immediately useful,' but that the 'way of life' the author has mastered over a long time would be conveyed.
Thank you, Merikomazaru-mono-san!
● Nodo Mitakahiro-san
Learning from 'The Man of Preparation,' Ichiro Furutachi. Standing on his shoulders to open up the next generation.
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
The book contains many stories about preparation specific to sports broadcasting, but if you read it while thinking, 'What would this mean for my own work?',
there should be at least one episode that makes you realize the necessity of preparation.
Relating it to your own work and thinking about it. The insights gained from that, and furthermore the 'proposals'—I was impressed by the story of how a reaction to reading leads to further action.
Thank you, Takahiro Node!
● Leon Saruogi
The philosophy for surviving without fear of failure, learned from 'Preparation Studies for Communicating'.
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
Ichiro Furutachi, who radiates overwhelming individuality, is ordinary?
A cheer for those who haven't given up on themselves yet.
After closing this book, I felt strangely energized.
This review itself is a series of wonderful phrases,
and I truly felt it was born from the preparation that Leon Saruogi has accumulated.
Thank you, Leon Saruogi!
● Miku Mayutan
Life is not something you find, but something you create. Ichiro Furutachi's 'Preparation Studies for Communicating' is packed with a philosophy of life.
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
This book is neither a self-help book nor a professional how-to guide. It is a bible for how to live.
I do not recommend this book to those who want to 'succeed without effort'.
The author and we, the publishers, wanted to create such a book.
The fact that it reached Miku Mayutan as a book she wants to keep by her side
is what makes me happiest of all.
Thank you, Mikumayutan-san!
● Yuni-san
I'm sorry, Furutachi-san. ~Reading 'Preparation Studies for Communicating'~
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
I happened to come across this book. And my image of Mr. Furutachi has completely changed.
When I think that my painful experiences have become my current strength, I don't think they were in vain, and I feel they are one of the materials that polish me.
Whether you know 'Ichiro Furutachi' or not, I think this has become a book that is surely interesting and will change your life a little once you read it.
Thank you, Yuni-san!
● Naofumi Tasaki-san
A self-indulgent book review of 'Preparation Studies for Communicating'
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
Somehow, the words are speaking on the page. It's a one-of-a-kind reading experience, as if I were listening to it on Audible.
Behind the 'expression' evaluated as original, there is a 'sediment' many times larger than the part that appears on the surface.
You also mentioned my book'You Should Write What You Want to Read.', and I reaffirmed that I, too, have truly been talking about 'preparation' all along.
Thank you, Naofumi Tasaki-san!
● Kaoru Sakaue-san
Reading 'Preparation Studies for Communication' by Ichiro Furutachi
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
Six pages of handwritten notes.
When I saw them, I let out a gasp.
Just seeing this is worth the price of the book.
That's right!
When I encountered this 'preparation',
I felt an instant conviction and excitement that everything in this book was heading toward completion.
Thank you, Kaoru Sakaue!
Now, the announcement of the 3rd place winner of the first 'Hironobu-to Cup'!
● Daiki Nakamura
Between Preparation and the Main Event
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
'For me, born in the Showa era, Ichiro Furutachi means play-by-play, play-by-play, play-by-play'
'It's also interesting to read as a reveal of the secrets behind the illusions of those days'
While providing such an accessible introduction,
'Since you are the one who defines the main event,'
'there are countless main events, but there is only one pattern for preparation.'
It was a powerful piece of writing that casually stated a truth I hadn't realized.
Thank you, Daiki Nakamura!
And now, finally, the announcement of the 2nd place winner of the first 'Hironobu-to Cup'!
● lion
Why do people 'prepare'?
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
Oh—my, what is this! The character count has exceeded 3,500 characters here!!
The review itself is in the style of Ichiro Furutachi's play-by-play commentary!
The process of crafting this text, which makes you feel like you can hear the voice, is surely
what "preparation" is all about.
Thank you, lion!
And now, without further ado,
the announcement is finally here!
The First "Hironobu-to Cup"
The glorious first-place winner is
● Mr. Yasuhisa Osato
"The Study of Preparation for Conveying" is "The Art of Athlete Note-Taking."
▪️Comment from Hironobu Tanaka
An examination of the "Study of Preparation"—or "Note-Taking Art"—shared by excellent athletes, play-by-play announcers, and commentators.
The overwhelming logical progression that starts there and leads to Akemi Masuda, Ryohei Hayashi, and even, surprisingly, YOASOBI.
It is truly impressive.
It can be said that athletes, play-by-play announcers, and commentators alike are accumulating "preparation" to capture the moment of victory.
Reading a single book, and the world and the mind that connects from it.
This is what a book review should be!
Thank you, Mr. Yasuhisa Osato.
Congratulations on your victory!!!
Closing
I always say,
"Deadlines are for the other person's convenience."
Writing what I want to "read"
as a single piece of text.
This is something I myself always
feel is a difficult task.
This note, too, was repeatedly asked by our editor, Hirose,
"When do you think you can publish it?"
Each time I said, "I'll do it today," or "It'll be tomorrow,"
and those "todays" and "tomorrows" came and went many times,
and that is how we arrived at today's publication.
That is precisely why I am so happy and grateful
that so many people have written such passionate reviews.
Once again, to everyone who submitted an entry,
thank you.
And to those who did not enter the "Hironobu-to Cup"
but have posted reviews until now,
all of us at the company have read them with gratitude.
Thank you for all your reviews.
Finally, remember that "deadlines are for the convenience of others."
The first Hironobu-to Cup has concluded, but for those of you who thought, "I was writing something, but I didn't make it in time."
Those are words that I, and everyone at our company, would love to read.
We would be very happy if you could post your thoughts.
We would be very happy if you could post your thoughts.
