What it Means to Write on note [ver6] Reliving the Story of Myself While Writing [50s]

Words are not a reboot, but proof of continuity
Writing is an act of layering
Introduction
I am EX-FAX-CE.
This is the story of a person in their 50s who has been putting caregiving and daily life into words for over 730 days.
If this is your first time here, please read in this order without hesitation. This is the entrance.
1 First, my representative works
・The secret to 700 consecutive days of posting
・The mirror that is my mother with dementia — The true questions that daily caregiving has taught me
・What it means to continue on NOTE — Practicing the technique of returning even after collapsing
・A way of living centered on oneself, not comparing with others — The sense of distance and quiet conviction I found in my 50s
2 Next, series you can choose based on your mood
In the midst of the caregiving journey: The reality of being in your 50s is here
A moment of eternity: Short stories to read at night
Lost Generation Derailment Studies: A detour for tired days
The critical point of laughter: The humor and kindness of human beings
3 My background: Why this perspective?
First generation of the Lost Generation/Ice Age. Former FAX repair CE (17 years).
Between caregiving and work, I put my daily life and memories into words.
Now that I have continued writing on note, I understand it clearly. The feeling of a "fresh start" that I held in the beginning no longer exists. What has taken root instead is the layered recognition that daily records form the selfa layered recognition that daily records form the self.
Writing is not an update, butlayering. Rather than painting over the past self, by stacking layer upon layer, the"true outline"finally emerges. It took a considerable amount of time to reach this understanding.
If there is even one piece
that makes you stop and think,
I believe that is enough.
Deepening the philosophy of not decorating
I used to express it as a "resolve not to decorate." Now I can articulate it a bit further. It is that, more than any polished words, words without falsehood are far more resilient.
The moment the intention to "make someone read" comes to the forefront, writing immediately becomes dull. Only when you abandon calculation is thetemperaturethat reaches the depths of the heart generated.
My writing series have increased, and the themes I cover have expanded. However, what remains at the foundation is the thorough pursuit of sincerity. Regardless of the format adopted, if the writer's psychological temperature is not conveyed, everything becomes meaningless.

A quiet call to my generation
Those of us who have survived the trials of the Lost Generation ice age are no longer young. However, we have not reached our end either. Rather, we are entering the deepest stage of life.
For us, note is also a verification device. It is a place to rediscover the 'self that continues to write' while carrying our anxieties and conflicts as they are. This is not a place to escape, but a site of confrontation.
You, who are reading this text now, are surely also searching for a 'reason to write' somewhere. That search itself might already be part of the answer.
Cross-generational dialogue with the younger generation
Occasionally, I receive messages from younger readers. 'I want to grow old like this,' 'I was able to understand my parents' feelings a little better.' Every time I receive such words, I am convinced.
Experience only gains meaning when it is shared. Even failures and pain can become a pillar for someone else if put into words. This is a universal human solidarity that transcends generations.
The act of writing as a daily ritual
I write every day. It is not an 'obligatory burden,' but a
'dialogue with the self'. A serene ritual that connects yesterday's self with today's self.
Writing is the integration of the act of staring at the past and trusting the future. Every time I open a page, proof that 'I truly lived through this day' accumulates. It is this accumulation that forms the substantial content of life.
The multi-layered nature of thought shown by multiple themes
Currently, I am developing multiple writing themes
'Lost Generation ice age perspective' A record of daily conflicts and realizations
'Economics of affection' Exploration of non-market values in human relationships
'Challenges in my 50s' Practice of continuous growth in middle age
'Memory and time' Self-understanding through dialogue with the past
These are not fragments, but illuminate a single system of thought from multiple angles. Readers can choose an entry point according to their own interests, but ultimately, it converges toward the same central question: 'How should a human live?'
Paid articles as a device for deepening thought
Someday, a day may come when my notes to date culminate into a single 'form'. That might be in the form of a paid article, or it might be an entirely different mode of expression.
But what is certain is that even then, I will write sincerely without embellishment. Monetization is not a commercial choice, but a formal necessity to delve deeper into my thoughts.
The healing function of words
I do not think my writing 'heals' something in the reader. Rather, I aim to activate the self-healing power that already exists within the reader.
Words are not drugs injected from the outside, but a catalyst that awakens internal power. I believe the ideal reading experience is one where the reader finds their own answers by reading my writing.
The existential meaning of the act of writing
Why do I write? The answer to this question has transformed over time.
Early stage Self-expression, desire for approval, reaching out to society
Middle stage Dialogue with readers, gaining empathy, pursuing influence
Present Dialogue with self, deepening of thought, proof of existence
For me now, writing has become an existential necessity. I have a feeling that if I don't write, my self will dissipate. This is not a compulsion, but rather closer to natural breathing.
The writing stance of a quiet flame
My writing avoids flashy claims or sensational expressions. However, deep within that serenity, there exists an unquenchable flame.
It is not a fierce emotion, but a sustained passion. It is not an instantaneous explosion, but a conviction that runs through my entire life. This quiet flame is the driving force that sustains my long-term writing activities.

The invisible contract with the reader
Between me and the reader, there exists an unwritten contract
My promise Write without pretense, sincerely, and continuously
Reader's choice To read or not to read, to empathize or not
There is no enforcement power in this contract. However, it is precisely within this free relationship that true trust is nurtured. Readers engage with my writing as a choice, not an obligation, and I pursue sincerity rather than evaluation.
The philosophy of continuity nurtured by 17 years of craftsmanship
The experience of continuing to repair FAX machines for 17 years has had a profound influence on my writing activities.
Principles of artisanal continuity
Prioritize continuity over aiming for perfection
Daily accumulation forms technique
Value the process over the results
Do not expect immediate results
These principles are directly applicable to writing activities as well. Rather than the perfection of a single article, I aim for overall deepening through continuous writing.
The Mission of the Lost Generation as Chroniclers
We, the Lost Generation, stand in a unique historical position, as the last generation to bridge the Showa and Reiwa eras.
We experienced post-bubble Japan as adults, survived the employment ice age, and adapted to the digital revolution. Recording this experience and passing it on to the next generation is also a historical duty.
Writing on note is not only a personal expression but also a collective endeavor to preserve the memories of a generation.
The Economics of Emotion: Exploring Immeasurable Value
The "Economics of Emotion" I advocate is, in itself, the act of writing on note.
It generates value without expecting monetary compensation, yet it does so reliably. Trust with readers, spiritual fulfillment, and the deepening of thought—these are not traded in the market, but they determine the quality of life.
An invisible economic sphere is formed with readers who understand this economic principle. It is a value exchange system that is different from capitalism, yet it functions reliably.

The Traces of Time Carved by Words
The collection of articles accumulated on note is not merely a pile of text. It is a trace of time, a record of the development of thought, and evidence of self-transformation.
By rereading my past articles years later, I can engage in a dialogue with my former self. This time-transcending self-dialogue may be the most valuable byproduct of the writing process.
Conclusion: Words Will Continue On
May your today and my words continue to cross paths somewhere, somehow.
I will continue to write, without embellishment, without calculation, simply with sincerity. That is the greatest respect I can show my readers and the greatest honesty I can show myself.
Unwavering and straightforward.
These words express my writing stance most concisely. Not swayed by external evaluation, not pandering to trends, but simply following the path I believe in—this is my way of life as a note writer.
