[Compilation] Kinki Pentagram Pilgrimage + Nara Seven Lucky Gods Pilgrimage | Order of 13 Shrines and Temples Visited in 5 Days, Best 3, and Full Link Collection
Good morning.
Thank you for always reading my blog.
I spent 5 days visiting 13 shrines and temples on a Pentagram Pilgrimage and a Seven Lucky Gods Pilgrimage.
The Pentagram Pilgrimage started in Mie Prefecture, then went to Kyoto, Wakayama, Gifu, Hyogo, and Ise.
For the Seven Lucky Gods Pilgrimage, I visited 8 shrines and temples in Nara.
It was a pilgrimage done at my own pace in my MINI🚙.
In this article, I have summarized the order in which I actually visited them and my impressions of each shrine and temple.
If you are wondering, "Where should I start my Pentagram or Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimage?", I hope you can use this article as your "initial map"🗺️ to help you.

🏆 Tabo's Top 3 Selection
🥇 1st Place: Kumano Hongu Taisha (Wakayama Prefecture)

💡Reason for selection:
- Because it was a visit with a sense of gravity, where I felt that 'this place anchored the entire journey' among the Pentagram pilgrimage.
✨
What was good about this place: - Because the lingering feeling after the visit lasts a long time, and I always feel glad I came.
- Because it is a place that remains in my memory as a milestone greeting.
📌 [Point 1]
- Before the 'order of visits,' there is space to first bow and calm down.
📌 [Point 2]
- Tamaki Shrine and Kumano Hongu Taisha are such favorites that I always visit both.
📌 [Point 3]
- In the flow of the Pentagram pilgrimage, it even elevates the impression of the visits before and after it.
⚠️Points to note:📌 [Note 1]
- Since travel distances tend to be long, it is safe to allow plenty of time for the day's schedule.
📌[Note 2]
- Since the physical sensation of the place changes easily depending on the weather, I think it is best to prioritize 'the day's condition' without pushing yourself.

🥇 2nd Place: Omiwa Shrine (Nara Prefecture)

💡Reason for selection:
- A place that prepares you before granting your wishes.
✨What was good about this place:
- Within the shrine grounds, I had a feeling of being fulfilled.
- A mountain-type deity, with a dignified yet soft atmosphere.
📌 [Point 1]
- The path from the torii gate to the worship hall quietly calms the heart.
📌 [Point 2]
- It is easy to create a 'baseline' for your feelings in the flow of the Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimage.
📌 [Point 3]
- The sense of exhilaration and calm that remains after the visit.
⚠️Points to note:
- Since traffic flow can change due to crowds or events on the day, it is safe to follow the local guidance.

🥉 3rd Place: Ise Jingu Naiku (Mie Prefecture)

💡Reason for selection:
- By placing it at the 'beginning' and 'end' of the trip, the three days of heavy travel were tied together as a single line.
✨What was good about this place:
- The visit itself easily becomes a 'milestone,' and I was able to switch my mindset naturally.
- It is the type that leaves a strong impression even in a short time.
📌 [Point 1]
- If you place it at the start of the trip, the subsequent visits will have a core.
📌 [Point 2]
- If you include it again at the end, the trip changes from just 'finished' to 'concluded.'
📌 [Point 3]
- Compared to other shrines and temples on the Pentagram pilgrimage, the 'density' of the memory is high.
⚠️Points to note:
- Since the amount of walking tends to increase, it is safe to include it in a time slot with plenty of time on the day.

💦 Failures and Lessons Learned
🕰️I wanted more time:
・Even though I thought I had secured enough time at each temple and shrine, the constant travel cut into the time for reflection.
・Next time, I think it would be a good idea to reduce the number of visits per day by one.
🌅Mistake in choosing time slots:
・By assuming that "it should be empty if I go early," there were times when the travel schedule became too tight and I felt rushed.
・Prioritizing a relaxed arrival seems to lead to higher satisfaction in the end.
📝Unexpected events:
・Having to "give up" on a place I had planned to visit momentarily unsettled me.
・However, looking at the trip as a whole, being able to make the decision to "subtract" was a gain (it's better not to be too greedy so that the journey can continue).
