#The 'Writing Habit' That Changed My Life note Contest Winners Announced!
Does everyone remember? The note contest we held to commemorate the 13th printing of 'The Writing Habit'.Thank you so much for all your entries!
I want to start by sliding into a dogeza (prostrate apology), but I am so sorry for being incredibly late.As a contest perk, I decided to 'read and comment on every participant's note!' As a result, I kept hitting limits and having to stop, hitting limits and having to stop... and it ended up being very late...
Also, simply because you all have already developed a writing habit, it was impossible to decide.Can everyone just be the winner? (laughs)
There were over 90 entries in total.I am truly happy that so many people participated. Although they were short, I read through all of them and left comments.
Sometimes, there were ones where I thought, 'Are they participating in the contest, or did they just happen to add the hashtag!?' and I didn't leave a comment because I was embarrassed about being self-conscious. If you think, 'Hey, this is a contest entry note!', please quietly let me know.

I felt a bit of a connection to Miku Mayutan from elementary school. On a personal note, when I was in elementary school, I wrote diaries for myself and compositions for my mother. I wrote them to make her say, 'You write interesting things!' I felt a sense of kinship because our foundational experience of'writing for someone else'was similar. And you know, writing aimed at one person close to you really gets read.

Like a chick that follows the first thing it sees, thinking it's its parent, no matter how many books I read, the parent bird of my writing is this book, and I read it over and over again.
I felt happy because I felt that you truly experienced'connecting with someone through writing'which is what I wanted to convey in the book. Even if it doesn't lead to work, just connecting with 'comrades' who have the same thoughts makes life richer. Thank you for the note that creates new relationships!
The 'Positive in Just 4 Lines' Award
It's a notebook that I've continued to write in, just 4 lines every day, just writing and writing.
And I think it will continue to be the notebook that I keep writing in, calmly and with a smile, more than anything else.
'Calmly and with a smile'. I feel like everything is packed into this. I can feel Hiiragi-san's love for the notebook, and the fact that you use 5 notebooks at the same time makes me feel that your daily life is truly supported by your 'writing habit.' Keeping a diary of good things makes you better at finding good things in your daily life, so I hope everyone tries it!

I have decided that I want to fill this home with laughter. Because I made that decision, I can honestly apologize when I've done something wrong, and it has made my way of thinking more flexible. I try not to let bad moods linger.
For me, a guy who has always been a serious, stick-to-the-logic type, there is no greater progress than this.That is why I keep posting. Not so much for my family, but for myself.
Naokichi-san's "I write because I want to fill my family with laughter" sentiment is just wonderful. Days when something happens, days when nothing happens—everything only happens once, and it's all about how we label those daily occurrences. Everything depends on how you perceive it, right? I thought it was great how even your daily behavior changes through writing.

It is certainly scary to be honest about your own "selfish desires." Sometimes it feels like a waste to even wish for them, and I find myself wanting to laugh off those "selfish desires" and pretend they don't exist.
Even so, I think it's good to listen to them thoroughly. And I want you to write them down. Because no one but you can listen to and fulfill your own "selfish desires."
Writing always creates a time where you can be selfish. You don't have to restrict anything. You can just freely write what you want to write. The words mirai-san has written in their note were so direct, they really struck a chord.There are parts of yourself you only see by writing, and futures you can only achieve by writing, aren't there?It's a note that makes you want to be honest with yourself.
