[Earning with Suno.ai Part 3] It's been 2 months since I posted AI songs to Spotify, so I'll share my progress.

Hello, I am AI FREAK.

"Let's make songs with Suno.ai and post them on Spotify!"

It has been nearly two months since I got enthusiastic about that.

By the way, the process so far has been like this.

Following the process above, AI song distribution on Spotify has started successfully.

This is the third note in the series, and I plan to report my progress until I actually start generating revenue.

I want to make AI music and distribute it
I want to earn money with an AI side hustle

I think this will be helpful for people like that, so please check it out.

The 2-month trajectory where predictions turned into conviction

The reason I started dabbling in AI music in the first place is because

"AI music has potential"

I felt that.

Suno.ai v4.5 update was quite shocking to me. (*Suno.ai is an AI tool that can create songs)

And as expected, I have become convinced over these past few months that it has significant potential.

First, please take a look at the transition of the play counts below.

I released the first song on May 28, 2025.

It didn't grow at all for nearly a month after that, but I think the reason for this is

"I only released one song and left it alone"

I was a bit busy with other work, so I left it alone. lol

After that, I started adding other songs around June 18th. In terms of the number of songs, it's about 10.

As you can see from the graph, people have gradually started listening to them.

I mean, if you only upload one song, even if that song happens to get listened to, they won't become a listener, right? Haha.

If you upload about 10 songs with a similar taste, I think it will resonate with the people it's meant for.

Even if they aren't of a similar taste, you could upload a lot of songs and

try testing 'which songs get listened to?'

I think that's a good idea too.

The number of listeners has also been gradually increasing.

I am distributing under the name Ø-SODOX (Orthodox).

I have nearly 500 listeners now, but since it was only about 3 at the beginning, it's quite moving. Consistency is indeed power.

I predict that when it increases, it will 'increase all at once in a big jump'.

Looking at it like this, it actually looks pretty legit (like a normal artist), doesn't it? Haha.

It looks better visually, so I recommend registering multiple songs.

By the way, the number of plays at this moment is

like this.

It's said that you can earn about 3,000 yen for 10,000 plays, so it's going pretty well.

For now, I'm going to do my best, aiming for 1 million plays (about 300,000 yen).

Music has global potential, which is amazing.

One of the big reasons I started putting a lot of effort into AI music is'statelessness'.

I'd like you to look at the analytics below,

it seems like it's being listened to in various countries outside of Japan as well.

From my perspective, this is quite surprising, or rather, a point I find 'interesting'.

Expanding a business globally is full of complicated things, but music doesn't have that issue.

I don't understand the language, but it sounds pleasant, so I listen to it

That is a universal truth. Even if you don't understand English, you still listen to Western music, right?

Currently, most of my listeners are in Japan, but I personally feel that 'there is a possibility it could explode in other countries eventually'.

[Taiwan, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Peru, USA], etc. I wasn't targeting these places at all, but it seems people are finding it appealing on their own and listening to it.

This is a unique strength of music that nothing else has.

Analyzing why it was listened to

Looking at the 'Discovery Sources' data

It looks like this.

Artist (Artist page): 44.32%
Collection (Listener's collection): 35.36%
Others_playlist (Other listeners' playlists): 10.69%

The above accounts for the majority.

I think 'Artist' and 'Collection' are high because people who listened once became fans.

It's proof that they are listening repeatedly, such as by saving it to their library or visiting my profile to listen to other songs.

'Others_playlist' is

'Someone I don't know is adding my songs to their playlist'

which I think is a delightful phenomenon.

Highly enthusiastic fans are now becoming 'messengers,' delivering my songs to new listeners.

I predict that once this organic cycle starts spinning, the number of plays will grow even more explosively.

So, what exactly should I do?

Having read this far

For those of you who thought, "I want to increase my play counts too"

I would like to share a few points that I have practiced over these two months and found to be effective.

1. Ensure you have a "number of songs" at any cost

This is clear from my initial failure.

With just one song, listeners have only stood at the entrance to your world and will not come inside.

I recommend releasing at least 5 songs, preferably around 10 songs.

Even then, there may be times when they aren't listened to, but I think you should consider that number of songs to be a prerequisite.

By increasing the number of songs,

The artist page looks better
Listeners will browse and think, "Let's listen to other songs too"
It may become easier to be recognized by Spotify's algorithm

These are the benefits.

It's not limited to AI music, but first, it's important to step up to the batter's box many times.

2. Whether to keep the "taste" consistent or try various things

I took the strategy of "acquiring highly engaged fans with a similar taste."

On the other hand, releasing multiple songs of completely different genres on purpose and

"Which song will be the most popular?"

trying it out like market research is also an interesting strategy, I think.

The strength of AI music production is that the cost of this "trial and error" is overwhelmingly low.

Please develop a strategy that suits your personality and goals.

If there is a song that has grown, I think it is fine to start unifying with the taste of that song.

3. Put a little extra effort into the artwork

This is the part I'm most particular about, and perhaps something others aren't focusing on as much?

The first things a listener sees are the song title and the artwork.

I use Midjourney to give all my song artwork a sense of consistency.

A strategy to make the thumbnail appealing

By doing this, it becomes easier to visually convey my "worldview" as an artist.

As I mentioned in a previous note, I believe the value of a "worldview" will increase in the AI era.

Pairing songs with a consistent style with unified artwork.

This is also one of the important mechanisms for getting people to become fans.

The future 3 months from now is determined by your actions "now"

As I touched upon in a previous note, it takes even more time for monetization on Spotify to actually begin. (It seems it takes 3 months?)

Hearing that, you might think, "That's still so far away...", but whether or not you can act in this very moment is what's important. Because,

there is a possibility that even if you do it, it won't go well, but if you don't do it, the chance of it going well is 0%,

right?

When you hear it like that, it's extremely obvious, haha, but I still feel like there are so many people who can't take that step.

The reason why I am sharing these figures is because

I want you to experience that "if you take action, it will definitely take the visible form of numbers."

I hope this progress report can serve as a trigger for your "first step" or even just a little bit of motivation for your creative activities.

The potential of AI music is just beginning.

Thank you for reading.

It is crazy right now, but AI music is going to get even crazier from here on out.

I think it is only a matter of time before human artists start feeling a serious threat.

I am putting in the effort in anticipation of that evolution.I am really committed to it..

First, I am aiming for 1 million streams, and I will continue to try various things.

If you are interested, you should get started early.

Also, this is completely unrelated, but I recently made a video with a different taste.

Currently, it is not getting many views, so please watch it if you would like. lol

I thought it was pretty cool, but maybe it is not that great.

"If you make what you think is good without worrying about buzz, the public won't react"

That is also a good experience. This is life. lol

For those who want to "make music videos with AI" as mentioned above, please refer to the note below as well.

So, if you found this note even a little bit helpful, I would be happy if you could "like" it.

I will report my progress again! See you in another note.
