The 'Nan no Hanashi Desu Ka' (What are you talking about) snack and the shape of my home

In the comments section of Konishi Kinoko-san's
radio appearance article, I wrote this:

'An apology snack 🍪 "Nan no Hanashi Desu Ka"
If that existed, it would be a huge help to me too.'

I received a reply from Konishi-san.
'I'd love an apology snack, wouldn't you? lol'

That exchange was
so gentle and warm,
it remained in a corner of my heart.

My encounter with 'Nan no Hanashi Desu Ka' and Konishi Kinoko-san

I wrote before about my encounter with 'Nan no Hanashi Desu Ka' and
about Konishi Kinoko-san.

This time, it's the continuation of that.

The ZINE project

I learned about the ZINE project.
The theme is 'Home'.

Everyone who applies gets published.

When I learned that,
I gasped.

A silly and wonderful book.
A giant literary tower apartment.


I was excited and moved
by that lovely and crazy project.
(Is 'crazy' rude? lol)

If I had a room
in this tower apartment.
It would be wonderful to have a small room
as a 'Nan no Hanashi Desu Ka' writer.

The joy of peeking into each room.
Which room you like is up to the reader.

Thinking that, I wrote a poem.

For me, home is a memory of the past and
memories that connect to the present.


My father's house, the apartment where my sisters and I lived,
and my current residence.


After developing an intractable disease,
my current home,
which centers on life as a married couple.

I wasn't sure if I could
put it into words well,
but when I tried writing it, it became three chapters.

After I finished writing, I added one line to the end of the poem.

A confectionery for apologies that does not yet exist.
I wanted to bring the small exchanges
we had in the comment section here.

Welcome to my home.
I am waiting for you with a warm cup of tea.
