The Day I Learned That If You Speak Your Dreams, They Keep Coming True (Part 1)
If you speak your dreams, they come true.
That is what actress Emi Tani said.
April 11th. On this day, I experienced firsthand that "if you speak your dreams, they come true."
Konishi Kinoko's second radio appearance
There is a program called "Radipote Enmusubi" on Nanako Library FM in Saitama. Konishi, the back-alley guide, was scheduled to appear on "Glocal Movement," which is broadcast twice a month within that program.
1st and 3rd Friday of every month: Glocal Movement
The title is a portmanteau of "Glocal," combining "global" and "local," and "movement," meaning motion or change.
It is a program where MC Keiko Matsumoto explores hints with listeners through guest stories, suggesting that small activities started in a region might eventually become the catalyst for changing the world in a big way.
When I first met Konishi, everything he spoke about like a young boy—wanting to expand the back alleys further—is coming to fruition.
Truly, "if you speak your dreams, they come true."
Ever since he started calling himself an "actor"—whoever started that—Konishi has been flying onto the center stage, appearing on Radio Kawagoe's "Knucklehead's Happy MONDAY Entertainment Hour," being interviewed by Kokugakuin University, and now this radio appearance.
I, along with Mosquito Eri, ended up tagging along to observe Konishi once again.
My first time observing a radio recording was very stimulating.
To fit within the allotted time, detailed instructions came from Director Shirai. It felt like, "The next topic about so-and-so should be about five minutes."
I thought it would be very rigid since there was a script, but it was left to the discretion (in other words, ad-lib) of the MC, Matsumoto.
Matsumoto, who kept the talk moving at a good tempo with her soft voice, was truly impressive.
And Konishi, who didn't lose out and played the role of "Konishi Kinoko" perfectly. He was also impressive.

I remember how Shirai-san had to cut off the witty, off-the-record conversation between Konishi-san and Matsumoto-san multiple times, saying, "Alright, that's enough for now."
Both on and off the air, it was a space filled with "What are you talking about?" moments, and to put it mildly, it was an "amazing" time.
I was also grateful to have the dream-like experience of having the message I sent read aloud right in front of me.
Thank you to Shirai-san and Matsumoto-san from the program. Thank you to Tani-san for connecting us. And thank you to Konishi-san and Mosueri-san for joining us.😊

Tani-san's crowdfunding goal achievement and Tani-san's fan party
Another main event of the day was attending Tani-san's fan party.
The party was held at a stylish cafe in Kawagoe called "Tricycle Cafe."

I rarely have the opportunity to attend parties like this, so I was nervous enough to secretly ask Tani-san about the dress code, but the moment I opened the door and saw Tani-san's face, I was bathed in a positive aura and filled with happiness.
The students from the Misuzu Kaneko reading group who look up to Tani-san as their teacher, the supporters who back Tani-san, and Knucklehead-san who is friends with Tani-san—everyone was so wonderful that I was truly happy to be there.
And right there, Tani-san shared the happy news that the crowdfunding goal had been reached.
I touched upon Tani-san's activities in this article.
*Crowdfunding is still open for contributions. It runs until May 24th (which is Konishi Day, and also Tani-san's birthday✨). This is your chance to read a biography of Misuzu Kaneko that is historically valuable and filled with Tani-san's soul. Thank you for your support.
Tani-san, who said he would pursue the truth about Misuzu Kaneko and write her biography, has been moving around in search of fragments of that truth.
He will make the crowdfunding a success, and soon the biography will truly see the light of day.
This, too, is proof that "if you speak your dreams aloud, they come true."
I was able to see Tani-san's performance right in front of me.
It was so amazing that I lost my ability to find words.
His clear, resonant voice reached straight into the depths of my body, and I couldn't take my eyes off his expressions, his movements, everything; I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. I was moved by the fact that he could create such a performance all by himself.
Tani-san, thank you for such a wonderful, dream-like time. The food at Tricycle Cafe was also delicious☺️

Doing the 'What are you talking about?' pose👂
A very intense day that started at 7:30 in the morning.
Having witnessed so many dreams come true, my heart and stomach were full, but actually, there was one more bonus.
I would like to share that in the second part.
(And maybe you'll understand why I suddenly showed my face, or maybe not)
What are you talking about?
By the way, I borrowed the thumbnail image from Yutani-san. Thank you very much✨️
He's already doing the official pose, haha. As expected🥹
