[BTS] #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR at Kyocera DAY 2 [Jin Solo Tour]

The final day of the Japan tour!

After Makuhari and Kyocera, Jin's "#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Japan" has reached its final day in the blink of an eye. To think I won't be able to see Jin starting tomorrow...! I'm sure many ARMYs are falling into a post-concert slump.
I'm in the same boat, just wanting to read everyone's impressions to tide me over until the delay stream next week ( ;∀;)

So, here are my impressions of the second day!

I'm reporting from the arena today.

I had a VIP seat on the second day, and it was a completely different experience from the restricted view seats. I felt it when I saw Hobi too, but there are so many differences, including what you see and the intensity of the crowd around you!

Since the arena is close to the stage, your gaze is focused on your bias, so you can't see the whole venue, and you feel like you're being swallowed by the waves as a participant. Sometimes, the ARMY bombs are shown on the screen as scenery behind Jin, and I think it looks beautiful.
Aside from the soundcheck, there was an event unique to the arena, but I'll talk about that later.

Also, there were quite a few differences in terms of the visuals!
The restricted view seats were at an angle, and because of the camera work, a lot of things weren't shown on the stream, so I hadn't really looked at the main screen properly. Seeing it again, there's so much information. They were featuring titles from past Run Jin episodes, and the HYYH balloons were flying...

During the stage, my desire to look at Jin won out, so I couldn't focus on that too much, but I want to watch it again when it comes out on disc lol

When I went to the restroom and visited other floors, I was surprised to see seats that shouldn't normally be there. There's a walkway behind the stands, and they had placed platforms there to create a raised area with chairs.
To think they would not only use seats that aren't usually available but actually build new ones...!

The Vista seats above the stands were also packed with people; it really felt like they had squeezed in as many ARMYs as Kyocera could possibly hold! I wonder if it was like this when Hobi set the record for the maximum capacity at the Saitama Super Arena.

Jin appeared with his blue microphone and in-ear monitors, wearing the tour merch face T-shirt. Seeing two cute faces lined up was double the destructive power!

"Don't Say You Love Me"
It's so cute how Jin worries, asking, "Everyone, doesn't your hand hurt from waving your ARMY Bomb? Are you okay for tomorrow?" It's okay, I'll wave it forever, so please let me be at the venue forever...!
(Actually, it's my legs and lower back that are in trouble lol)

"Rope It"
The rope on the T-shirt is not allowed. Since he's not wearing a hat, I can see his face clearly, and during the lasso choreography, you can see his hips moving so well that I want to protect him—no, wait, never mind.
This gave birth to the concept of "Seokjin's pelvis." Oh no, I've opened a new door...!

"I'll Be There"
Maybe he was curious about the male fan's call from yesterday,
he looked around and said, "There are quite a few male fans here today too? Did your girlfriend bring you?" There were surprisingly many ARMY Bombs waving in response!
"Because I'm wonderful?" That's the truth, so it doesn't work as a punchline lol

He was beaming at the chants for "Don't Say You Love Me" and the ARMY Bombs being swung around during "Rope It," and I felt a thrill at the realization that "We are making our bias happy right now!"
During "I'll Be There," he prompted us to clap over our heads. He didn't do it during the main show, so I feel like it was a special treat just for the soundcheck.
Most of the conversation was in Korean and very relaxed, and I enjoyed this side of Jin that felt so natural (*´艸｀)

Start to "Don't Say You Love Me"

About 10 minutes before the show started, everyone's ARMY Bombs lit up, and the volume of the Jin songs playing as BGM increased, so a sing-along started naturally.
This time it was "Nothing Without Your Love," "To Me, Today," and "Don't Say You Love Me," and I took it as a message from the organizers saying, "These are songs we want you to sing along to, so get warmed up!" lol

Jin appeared today with his bangs down and a slightly wild, permed look. If yesterday he was the world's greatest handsome man, today he was the ideal dream boyfriend.
There are many hardcore fans in the arena, so groans of "He's so cool" and "He's so beautiful" were leaking out from everywhere, and I was breathless right from the start lol
He finished us off with, "Osaka? Everyone, bang!👉 Thank you very much. Ah, this is really funny lol," and we all lost our last life point.

During the blackout, just like yesterday, I heard a deep, booming "JIN!!!" and Jin muttered from the darkness, "That's amazing." Those hardcore male fans, man lol

I was so focused on Jin on the first day that I didn't notice, but the ARMY Bomb colors are being controlled quite frequently. For example, the color changes only when we do the "Oh oh oh" chant during "I'll Be There."
It might only be for songs with official chants, but it was fun to feel that sense of unity with the music!

Speaking of ARMY Bombs, it was fun to use them to point at Jin during the "For You!" part of "I'll Be There" and to launch them up during "The One!" in "To Me, Today"!
I thought that people who aren't confident in their grip strength might have been safer with a strap, but then again, I'm just too used to operating Wii U remotes and Joy-Cons (Switch) lol

Today's "My Beloved" was "Osaka ARMY." Oh my, I'm so happy! (*´艸｀)

"Telepathy Game" Mission to "SUPER TUNA"

The costume candidates this time were "Mountain climbing, sheep head wrap, and school uniform."
Oh, and here we have the school uniform appearing again. Could it be that you've noticed we love Student Council President Seokjin?

Since the point of this mission is "gestures only," there's a test run every time where he says, "Quiet down for a second. Shh." But Japanese ARMYs basically stay quiet when the artist is talking, so this test doesn't really mean much. I think it's effective in other countries, though.

Paradoxically, I thought that the fact that this is in the script means they anticipate a situation where cheers are still going on while Jin is explaining the rules. You gotta shh there!

The first question was 'Tennis'.
Of course, ARMYs started practicing their swings with their ARMY bombs!
There were people on the serve side and people on the rally side, and Jin seemed to figure it out immediately, saying 'Like this?' while delivering a magnificent air smash.

When answering, he used the technique of intentionally setting up a joke by asking 'Badminton? Tennis?' to make the ARMYs shout 'Anya!' (No!), which was just so charming (*´艸｀)
Moreover, he checked the venue's reaction beforehand by asking 'Which number do you want?' to adjust his answer. Are you a god (Jin) or what!

The second question was 'Climbing'.
Everyone was climbing the wall on the spot lol. From Jin's perspective, it didn't look unlike a roar pose, so he seemed confused, asking 'Cat? Spider-Man?', but he reached the correct answer with the logic of 'It's Tal-Seok, so maybe this?', which was a relief!

The way he checks the ARMY's will by saying 'One Make Some Noise! Two Make Some Noise!' is super cute (*´艸｀)

Deciding to commit after hearing 'If ARMY wants to see it, it can't be helped,' Jin ended up wearing the school uniform for the second day in a row.
To be able to enjoy both the forehead-baring beauty and the dream boyfriend handsome patterns, aren't we being spoiled too much!? Please give us more!

Was Kyocera the first time for the school uniform pattern? I feel like until now, Goyang had Taekwondo and Hanbok, and Makuhari had Hanbok and the sheep head wrap.
On the first day at Kyocera, he appeared slightly late with a nice disheveled look with his tie loosened, but on the second day, it was perfect, showing that the backstage full-speed costume change process is evolving like an F1 pit stop!

Student Council President Kim Seokjin's Chamchi is the best!
The part where he puts both hands over his head and gives an adorable smile is so cute that I want to bow and thank God for the profession of idol!!
He even sang Chamchi one more time a cappella at the end, full service 💜

ARMY Karaoke Time

Did he learn from the previous day that 'Osaka ARMY likes everything,' or was he pressed for time? He asked about two questions and then immediately started the roulette with 'Okay, spinning roulette start!'
And it stopped on 'Anpanman' again, which made the venue scream lol

From what I can see, I think the roulette for the Japan tour is the same, but the probability of the same one coming up 3 times out of 4 is 1.54%?
Is there some consideration at work, like 'Anpanman is a Japanese homage song, so let's include it'? No, if that's the case, a Japanese song would be fine, right?

Thanks to being in the arena, I could hear the voices of the hardcore study-ahead fans or the rap-line stan sisters from behind, but it was still tough ( ;∀;)
The volume change where only 'Waiting for you, Anpanman' became full power was too funny. Help me, Anpanman!!

Elegance-mode Jin, who came out after changing, praised us a lot, saying 'ARMY, you're good!', but there was a reflective atmosphere of 'No, those are words too generous for us,' and I felt a sense of pride and responsibility as participants in creating Jin-nim's concert.
K-ARMY, who are not satisfied with an unintended performance, are so funny lol

'I will come to you' ~ 'Another Level'

I was truly happy to be able to watch the piano performance up close.

Seeing the reaction when the setlist was announced in Goyang, I felt that 'Abyss' is a very important song for many ARMYs. It's not just the song, but I interpreted the fact that Jin had been suffering from burnout as making that memory even more unforgettable.
I am a new fan since his military service, so I didn't know about that time, and 'Awake' actually hit me harder, making me scream, so seeing the senior ARMYs shaken was very impressive.

During the performance of 'Abyss,' images reminiscent of being underwater play on the main screen behind him. It is a somewhat simple image of bubbles rising from the dark seabed, and eventually just looking up at the light beyond the water's surface.
But to me, it looked as if sadness was rising from the abyss as bubbles, dissolving into the atmosphere, and calling forth brightness.

We receive many messages from Jin and BTS's songs. The production of the concert is the same.
Ever since I heard 'Awake,' whenever there is a wing motif in Jin's solo stage, I find myself reading the feelings of someone who wants to tell him that he has wings, and it makes me feel bittersweet.

It was the same for 'Abyss.' I thought the video was like a prayer that the sadness of 2020, which was trapped in the song, would now burst onto the water's surface, and that a bright ocean would spread within him.
I don't know the shock of when this song was released. But from now on, I will think of the abyss within him along with that video. It was an unforgettable sight.

'Another Level,' which is like the climax of a game and just makes you want to get excited, was cool! The background video with its red and black ruins-like aesthetic is also cool.
I want to dedicate everything to Jin, who looks down on the world from above the lift, lol.

From the restricted view seats, the backlight from the lights made it hard to see the shape of the lift, but I could see Jin standing on a surprisingly wide platform, about half a tatami mat in size, supported from behind by a handrail.
The one in Goyang was really only about one block's worth in Mario terms, so I'm a little relieved that it's wide.

Following the 'HANGSANG' pattern from Hobi's solo tour, it is predicted that this type of lift can only be seen in Korea and Japan due to safety standards and venue equipment. It's rare!

Jin cut off the Kim Seokjin call by saying, 'Okay, it's Kim Seokjin,' and sang a verse a cappella once more. Thank you!

'Sing Along Game' Mission

This time it was three songs: 'Dionysus,' 'IDOL,' and 'Loser'!
I mean, starting off with 'masho masho' right away is too strict lol

Since I come from a classical background, I have a habit of unconsciously judging the part with the melody as the main melody when voices overlap...
In the latter part, the lyrics sounded almost like call-and-response, so when I sang it myself, I picked up the melody with high and low differences that Jin was doing in the background.

Even with that incompetence, when I was suddenly told 'Let's steal it, the illest' without a guide melody, I had no choice but to be confused, wondering 'Where...?' ( ;∀;)

Man, that was a bigger disaster than 'Anpanman'!!
Japanese ARMY also did 'masho masho' with all our might, but in the second half, it was just
'Where is this!?'
'I'm a Namjoon fan, but I can only remember the parts without lyrics!'
'Wait, the chant also needs one shot, two shots'
A huge chaos occurred like that, and for now, we all just gave a bitter smile. There are situations in the world where you can only laugh. I'm sorry (*ﾉωﾉ)

ARMY desperately clinging to Jin, who had his eyes wide open at the mysterious singing, with 'One More!!' and 'Hanbeon deo!! (One more time)'!

One more time'?'This laughter between the artist and the fans is new. I don't hate it lol

Although we were allowed to retry, it was a situation where, well, even if we did it over... so with 'I really don't know, this has to be hit, right?' and 'Jungkook's
Seven!', the golden gong fell in vain.It was a delicious development in terms of comedy, and a memorable moment where Jin's legend of loving Jungkook grew again, but the Jin fan in my heart was having a huge explosion of 'How could you do that to Jin's noble head!!' Sorry about that.

The moment the lyrics 'OH' appeared in the next song, 'IDOL,' did the relief that spread like a wave reach the streaming fans too?
We can do this! We are capable people!! We challenged it boldly and cleared it safely. There aren't many 'dong-gi-duk-kung-deo-reo-reo' that popped like that ( ﾟДﾟ) Olssu!

In the final song, 'Loser,' we sang up to the highest note, and we had the honor of receiving praise from Jin, saying, 'This is the best performance we've done so far' and 'Your voices are high!'
That's right. Japanese ARMY have high voices, and besides, smartphones are prohibited and the choreography is synchronized, so we are very well-suited for this performance. You are welcome to come as many times as you like! (However, rap is impossible)

Come to think of it, Jin didn't say 'Jump jump!' this time. I don't think he even prompted us with words like 'Hands UP!'
Did he do some prior research on things like Kyocera's no-jumping rule? To all the Japanese staff, thank you so much...!

"Loser" to "Nothing Without Your Love"

"Loser (feat. YENA)" after warming up, and then "Rope it." This progression really gets the crowd going.
Honestly, when I first listened to the album, I didn't think "Rope it" would become such a killer track. Sorry for only paying attention to the horse lol

When you look back at the album with the tour in mind, it's packed with chart-friendly songs (title tracks) that are easy to sing and listen to, as well as stage-ready tracks with catchy, hot sounds, so it makes sense. When a new album comes out, it's fun to imagine what kind of stage it would be if these songs were included in the setlist. There's a lot to learn.

The amazing thing about "Rope it" isn't just the song itself, but the performance packed with the "Jin poses everyone loves," right?
The cowboy hat, the quick steps, the way he spins his upper body, and the way he swings his arms, making his pelvis inevitably stand out—this is the best. Even the hand speaker he holds for no reason halfway through is precious.

It was such a chaotic arena, but the BTS medley was an even greater frenzy.
Starting with "Dynamite," which is nearing 2 billion views, I was reminded of the power of "those songs everyone knows." As expected!

Inside the venue, there was probably a much larger amount of confetti released than you'd see on video. Like during "Dynamite," it was blowing up in multiple colors, reminiscent of the colorful smoke at the end of the music video. It fell many times outside of this moment, too.

What impressed me was that they adjusted it every time so it wouldn't blow in Jin's direction. He was like the eye of a typhoon.
Regarding the confetti, there are cases where you care and cases where you don't, but I thought this approach was a great success for the following reasons.

• Jin has a lot of close-ups, so it gets in the way of the camera if it's in the shot

• Even soft paper can hurt if it hits you depending on the angle and force

• It's hard to sing if it gets in your mouth

By the way, for "Dynamite," I think you can tell whose fan someone is by the pose they strike during the final "light it up like dynamite, woah." I try to point my finger on the first beat every time, so while watching Jin who hadn't struck a pose yet, I thought, "My V-stan instincts have exploded again..." lol

"Spring Day" continues with "Wow wow" even after the singing ends. Since ARMY keeps singing as long as Jin doesn't stop them, there's a bit of reading the room when it comes to the timing of the next repetition, which is also charming lol
In the end, he held out his palm and stopped the endless ARMY.

The sight of him hugging himself while saying "I'm happy" is precious.
Today, for the "This is the last song" and the "Eh!?" call-and-response, he pointed to his throat and made an X sign to say he had no voice left, and it ended after two times. Stay safe!

The second event unique to the arena is coming, "The Astronaut"!
They bring in balloons that pay respect to Coldplay here. It was quite chaotic!

A number of balloons are sent out, but perhaps it's human instinct to hit them forward when they come from the front. I think the best thing to do there is to hit them high toward the back.
Otherwise, the balloons get stuck in the front of the arena, and you end up in a "I can't see Jin!" situation. When I was watching from above on the first day, the balloons were quite biased toward the stage.

That performance itself is fun and you can play around, but apart from that, if you get distracted by the balloons and miss Jin lying on the runway, that's just an accident, so I thought it was difficult.
Also, there are incidents where you get hit in the back of the head by a balloon while staring at Jin. There are quite a lot of them, so you can't let your guard down ( ;∀;)
If there's a next time, I'll try to mentally prepare by watching Coldplay's concert footage lol

"Epiphany" to "To Me, Today"

The talk time after "Epiphany." Jin asked for permission to speak in Korean before he started.

Hearing this comment from Jin, I wonder if there are other ARMY who were reminded of his words during 'Abyss': 'Am I allowed to receive something like this? Is it okay for me to receive this much joy and celebration...' I was a bit startled too.

The love Jin gives us is so immense that sometimes we are the ones who feel, 'Is it okay to be loved this much?'
Why does he love ARMY so much?

Watching Jin during his solo activity period, he often asks ARMY questions.
'Who decides the chants, and how does the wave start? Who made that fan? Does your hand hurt from waving the ARMY BOMB?'
You can tell he is very interested and wants to know these things.

This is just my personal take, but I think that for the first time since going solo, Jin is seeing ARMY with new eyes.
Namjoon also said in the movie that 'when we were seven, I played my role,' and since the way of interacting is different between a group and a solo, I feel that when he faced them as an individual, he realized there were many things he didn't know, which sparked his curiosity.

If this were a manga, this would be the moment 'a childhood friend looks like a stranger,' and it's bound to be the start of a romance lol
Just as Hobi poured his all into completing his career as himself, I feel that Jin is now facing ARMY, excited by new discoveries, and running with all his might.

Hugging 1,000 people, doing high-five events and video calls, and going to meet ARMY I haven't seen yet on a world tour. If we become happy because of that, and Jin becomes happy seeing that, it makes me want to run together with him.
Receiving too much love can sometimes be a burden, but if it's happiness we exchange with each other, we might be able to spread it for a long time to come.

At Jin's signal, a wave rushes through the venue. In some places, the waves are doubled, and it's truly beautiful.

The intro hunting time for 'MOON,' where the whole venue watches with bated breath.
I mean, at this moment, even the ARMY who aren't in the front row are all feeling like 'first-time parents at a school observation,' watching with clenched hands. What pressure lol

The first person was a Jin-pen boy. He leaned in to listen closely to Jin's example, and although it was an octave lower, he repeated it accurately. Well done!
The second girl seemed to have gone blank, and she stopped while trying to sing, but she immediately asked Jin for a redo by saying 'One more time👆'.

I found her action of wanting to sing it properly endearing, and I also felt that Jin's communication skills, which created that kind of distance, were wonderful.
The surrounding ARMY, who would normally only be looking at Jin since he was at such close range, were peeking at the chosen girl and cheering her on, showing warm consideration. I think it was a beautiful scene that symbolized this performance.
The second time, she sang it beautifully, and everyone in the venue felt relieved.

By the way, when I checked the X timeline after the show, overseas ARMY watching the live stream were saying:
'Are Japanese ARMY too good?'
'They must have undergone some kind of special training'
'How can they hit such high notes? Did they swallow the CD?'
They were making a fuss, and it felt like they left a mark. We did it lol

Next is America. ARMY in the US, fighting!!

'To Me, Today' is the final song where Jin always holds an ARMY BOMB and waves it with all his might, creating a scene where you can't tell who the fan is!
When the cameraman offered an ARMY BOMB, Jin didn't notice and walked past it, and since it wasn't where it was supposed to be, you could see him instinctively starting to wave his fist! (He received it right away)

Watching this scene, I felt the routine of returning to the stage, standing on the platform, and waving the ARMY BOMB before '떠나자 하늘 저 위로 (Let's go above that sky),' and I was impressed by Jin's 'Show must go on' spirit, trying to respond without stopping the flow even when something unexpected happened.
As expected of Jin-nim, I fell in love all over again with his accumulated experience from traveling the world's stages and his flexibility!

"Until the day I meet ARMY all over the world, I will keep running, Run Seokjin!"
"I'm off the clock!!"
With a final big star-jump, Jin ran off. We want to support him forever, as he left us with a happy smile instead of allowing any tears until the very end!

This was the final message displayed on the screen. Good luck until the Netherlands!!

"RUN SEOKJIN until it reaches Anaheim"

I think the complete BTS will also change by the time Jin, who has re-bonded with ARMY, returns from the Netherlands. I am already looking forward to seeing how Hobi's energy, which transcends a solo tour, and Jin's love are reflected in the new album!!

Jin's steadfastness and the presence of ARMY

Watching him like this, I think Jin's stage presence is very steadfast. Rather than comparing him to Hobi, I think his main mindset is simply "doing everything I can to the best of my ability."

That's why when he does a solo tour, I get the feeling he tends to "avoid Japanese songs that are costly in terms of the number of performances" and "not make major arrangements to BTS songs, just perform them as decided once."
For example, with BTS songs, there are times when Jin doesn't sing V's parts even though he could reach the vocal range.

What I find impressive is that in their case, no matter what choice they make, it works in the production because "ARMY will sing it for us," so no inconvenience arises. I'm surprised by this every time.
ARMY is amazing; they are truly the 8th member. Well, occasionally there are accidents like in "Anpanman" or "Dionysus," but that's funny in its own way lol

By the way, this weekend, as a result of ARMYs moving in droves to Osaka or working hard on streaming and live viewing, Spotify play counts apparently dropped significantly. I saw English posts in a panic saying, "J-ARMY!? I, I understand, but let's do our best tomorrow!?" lol
