Episode 21: Regarding 'Chapter 1 Countdown Project: Like Count Ranking Announcement' | A PR person who deeply feels that their heart is saved by the number of likes.
February 6, 2026 (Fri)
Somewhere at Shibata Hospital, Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture
View count is
the number of times it was seen.
But—
I believe the like count is the number of times a heart was moved.I think.
Stopping the finger that is scrolling the screen,
and going out of one's way to press the heart.
As someone working in PR,
I feel painfully aware of how much emotion is packed into this one action.
So, this time,
Chapter 1 Countdown Project
Like Count Ranking Announcementis here.
I had planned to introduce the top 3 in likes,
but since two stories that ranked in the top 3 for views also ranked in the top 3 for likes,
I will introduce up to the top 5 in likes.
🥇 1st Place
Episode 6: Regarding 'If you give up, the game is already over, right?' | 58 Likes
(View count ranking 3rd place, 156 views)
Honestly, this episode
was one I barely managed to post.
Cornered,
with no time left,
but still needing to write...
The story kept getting longer as I tried to move forward...
It became unmanageable, and it is an episode I am deeply attached to,
having gone through revision after revision.
In the end,
this episode, which I wrote while clinging to a famous quote from Slam Dunk,
gathered the most likes.
In other words—
People react to desperation more than perfection..
While I have that subjective thought,
I also think it was simplyan episode that demonstrated
the high popularity of Slam Dunkacross generations.
I was deeply moved that everyone reacted to it!
As a PR person,
I will never forget this result.
🥈 2nd Place
Episode 1: 'Shibata Hospital Conference Room PR Representative Blog' | 47 Likes
(View count ranking 1st place, 332 views)
The commemorative first story gathered a large number of likes.
I think this includes some 'congratulatory likes' for the first episode.
However, for some reason, episodes where I relaxed my shoulders reach people.
I didn't aim for it.
I didn't exaggerate.
I didn't decorate it.
"So this is the kind of person writing this..."
"I didn't know there was a PR person like this..."
"I get it. That's so typical for PR..."
The moment that is conveyed,
likes are pressed naturally.
PR is,
sometimes about branding,
sometimes about focusing on design,
and sometimes about developing a story.
However, at times,
isn't it also important to express things as they are...
After all, we are human.
It makes me want to say, "Mitsuo style."
🥉 3rd Place
Episode 10: Regarding 'The demons are still here. Set your heart ablaze.' | 41 Likes
This was,
a rallying cry to myself.
I thought I was writing for the readers,
but actually, it hit me the hardest.
Strangely enough,
"writing that inspires yourself"
might also push someone else forward...
In any case, it's thanks to Rengoku-san's passion.
Thank you! Flame Hashira.
Thank you! Kyojuro Rengoku.
4th Place
Episode 9: Regarding 'When I thought I shouldn't run away, an inquiry...' | 39 Likes
The content was a plain topic
called "inquiries."
But, it was an episode that took off thanks to Eva.
And,
it was an episode where I was able to put
"a step that leads to action" into words.
The number of likes
is not necessarily determined by flashiness.
Perhaps stories that make you imagine the next action
are quietly appreciated...
5th Place
Episode 8: Regarding 'The Detective with no Labyrinth' | 30 Likes
This was,
completely a personal hobby episode.
It is a fact that I watched the Conan festival.
Honestly,
this was an episode I worked hard on writing while wondering, 'Will this get across?'
If it doesn't get across, that's fine too.
I made up my mind and tried writing it just as I liked.
Surprisingly, it seems it did reach some people, and I was happy.
As a PR person,
rather than forcing yourself to follow trends,
isn't it more powerful to carefully express what you 'like'?
That's what I thought!
■ Things I deeply felt after looking at the like counts
View counts are
influenced by planning ability and timing.
But like counts are different.
They are packed with 'empathy,' 'support,' and 'I get it.'
That is precisely why I reread the episodes with the most likes over and over again.
'Numbers don't lie.'
Yes! In other words,
Like counts don't tell gentle lies either.
I want to believe that!
If writing filled with passion reaches people properly, the likes will increase.
Thinking that way, I've started to feel like I want to write one more thing properly today...
To everyone who reacted with a like,
and to everyone reading this text right now,
truly, sincerely, immensely
thank you!!
By looking back, I had some realizations.
I shouldn't let myself be swayed by access counts, view counts, or like counts.
Even while thinking that,
after all,
when the like count is high, my spirits lift!
My heart is saved!!
I truly felt that deeply. I am grateful.
Next time,
Chapter 1: 'Countdown Project Edition' [Shibata Hospital PR Vienna Conference]
we will conduct a final review of the project,
and I would like to conclude the review ranking episodes, so
please stay with me until next time m(_ _)m
Furthermore,
"Which episode did you think would get even more likes!?"
I'm curious. I want to know.
If there is anyone who feels this way,
please feel free to ask in the comments section.
I will provide an official answer.
