Can it be solved by "guts" alone? | Neural fatigue that hard workers are prone to overlooking [Part 1]

Continuing from last time, I will be talking about sports and health (especially the mental aspect).
Sports and training themselves are inherently beneficial for the mind and body.
However, as mentioned in the previous article, if you continue while in a "state where you cannot recover," you may lose your balance not only in hormones and metabolism but also mentally.
Have you ever felt this way while doing sports or training?
For example... ☹︎ I don't feel motivated ☹︎ I feel like I'm being lazy ☹︎ Am I being too easy on myself? ☹︎ Is taking a break right away just a lack of spirit?
It has been reported that excessive training and lack of recovery can lead not only to the accumulation of fatigue but also to anxiety and low mood. However, in the field, this background is often difficult to understand, and there are many cases where "guts theory" remains.
Of course, this content is also useful for people who do not play sports, so I would be happy if you could read it to the end while comparing it with your own condition.
Modern qualitative nutritional deficiency
The imbalance I mentioned at the beginning may actually be hiding nutritional deficiencies.

What I mean by that is... ・Processed foods ・Side dishes ・Eating out When these meals increase, vitamins and minerals tend to become insufficient.
Vitamins and minerals are easily lost during the manufacturing process of processed foods, and in modern times, we are in a state where "food is abundant, but necessary nutrients are easily lacking."
On the other hand, ・Carbohydrates ・Poor quality oils tend to be excessive.
This state of "having enough quantity but lacking quality" is called qualitative nutritional deficiency.
This is a bit of a digression, but you need to be especially careful with "oil."
It is difficult to know what kind of oil is used in eating out or side dishes, and since it is often used repeatedly, it may be oxidized.
Oil is originally a very important nutrient, but oxidized oil is a burden on the body.

Also, for those who play sports,
・Vitamins
・Minerals
are consumed in large amounts, and
there are individual differences in the original required amounts.
Therefore, to build a healthy body and
maintain a stable mental state,
it is important to consume sufficient
vitamins and minerals in addition to protein.
Why does nutritional deficiency cause mental instability?
Nutrition is not just a material for
building muscles and bones.
In fact, it also serves as the material forneurotransmittersthat stabilize the mind.

Neurotransmitters are based on amino acids
broken down from protein,
・Vitamin B complex
・Iron
・Zinc
and other nutrients are involved in their creation.
・GABA
・Dopamine
・Serotonin
and other such substances are produced.
In other words,
if these nutrients are lacking, neurotransmitters
cannot be produced properly, making it easy for the balance to collapse.
This is one of the“states of being unable to recover”.
Furthermore, the vitamin B complex is
deeply involved in energy production.
Vitamin B1: Converts carbohydrates into energy
Vitamin B2: Supports lipid metabolism
Vitamin B6: Helps with protein utilization
These do not work alone, but rather
work by complementing each other with other B vitamins.
Therefore, it is not about taking just one,
but “taking them in a balanced way” is important.

To summarize everything so far in one word,
it is possible that it is a “problem of materials”
rather than a “problem of how hard you work”.

The reason why those who work hard fall into this trap
Exercise is good for your health, but
it also involves “depletion” at the same time.
■ Exercise increases depletion
When you exercise, you sweat and your muscles need
repair, so the consumption of vitamins and minerals
increases.
As a result, the amount available to be used as
material for creating neurotransmitters decreases.
■ Sometimes what you think is good backfires
For example, protein.
Many people take it diligently to build muscle,
but a lot of vitamin B6 is used in the process
of utilizing protein in the body.
In other words,
even if you are taking enough protein,
if you are deficient in B vitamins,
metabolism will not function properly,
and it will be difficult to use as energy.
■ The harder you work, the more you fall into a “material shortage”
The more you exercise, the more nutrients you need, but
if you are not compensating for that, the harder you work,
the closer you get to a “state where you cannot recover,”
which could eventually lead to a breakdown.
In other words, the problem may not be a lack of effort,
but rather a “balance between materials and recovery.”

The reason things aren't going well even though you're working hard
might be a “shortage of workers.”
So why does the “state of being unable to recover” continue
even when you think you are getting enough nutrition?
The key to this
is the relationship between the intestinal environment and neurotransmitters.
For those who have read this far,
you might be thinking, “I am careful about my diet”
or “I am taking protein.”
Even so, some of you may feel that
a certain instability of mind still remains.
Perhaps
“a state where things are not circulating well in the body”
is a possibility.
What many people overlook is
not “taking it in,” but
“whether it is in a state where it can be used.”
This is
the reason why “resting will not necessarily lead to recovery.”
