The Power of Words: The Window of the Heart Was Waiting for the Wind
Even when I open the window of my room,
there are days when the wind does not blow.
The curtains remain still.
The leaves on the trees do not move either.
"I went to the trouble of opening the window, yet..."
Thinking that,
I have looked outside many times.
But,
after a while,
from somewhere,
a breeze
sometimes drifts in.
That wind,
was not forced to happen.
It was simply,
because I had left the window open,
that the wind came in to visit.

I once thought,
perhaps the heart is the same way
as that.
When you are hurt by someone's words.
When days go by where things don't go as planned.
I have to get better soon.
I have to be positive.
Thinking that way,
I was desperately trying
to change how I felt.
But,
the heart is not something
that moves by command.
Even if you try to force a smile,
there are days when you cannot.
Even if you try to force yourself to forget,
there are things you cannot forget.
At times like that,
it felt like I was
trying hard to fan myself
on a day when there was no wind.

Of course,
if you move a little,
you might be able to feel a breeze.
However,
on days when you are exhausted,
sometimes just leaving the window open
is enough.
🌸 Play your favorite music.
🌸 Look up at the sky.
🌸 Drink a warm cup of tea.
🌸 Talk to someone for a little while.
Such small things
might be what it means
to keep the window of your heart from closing.
And then one day,
without even realizing it,
your heart feels a little lighter.

“Today,
I feel a bit better than yesterday.”
Such a day will come.
The wind
does not blow just because you rush it.
But,
If you don't close the window,
it will visit you properly.
The heart,
is surely the same.
Even if you can't feel better right away,
there is no need to rush.
Today,
it is okay to have a day where you just wait for the wind.
Even if you have such a day,
life is still moving forward properly.
🎁 Today's Small Question 🎁
Recently,
what was it that
opened the window of your heart?
Was it,
someone's words?
Was it a favorite piece of scenery?
Or perhaps,
was it time spent doing nothing?

To those visiting for the first time
I write on note every day
with the theme of "calming the heart through words."
I write about things I feel
in my work, relationships,
and daily life,
through the "power of words."
I would be happy if this place
could be a time for you
to relax your heart a little.
