Reflecting on This Year

If I may be so bold, I would like to introduce the "faces of the year" selected from my own articles. In the second half, I will also introduce people who have helped me and those I "support".

1 [Poem] "Just Be Yourself"

I wrote this based on an exchange of opinions about a certain picture book at a book club.

2 [Casual Call] "Stories of Sweets"

For the first time in a while, I held a "personal project of sorts." The articles from everyone who participated are collected in this magazine. Many "memories related to sweets" were gathered. Thank you very much!

I wrote a "Story of Sweets" for the final episode featuring everyone who participated.

3 [Personal Project] Letters That Never Arrive

I held another "project." I was touched by the "overflowing thoughts" in the letters from those who participated, and some letters even brought me to tears. Thank you. I have collected all the letters I received in a magazine. I will repost letters from a few people here. (I am sorry I could not post everyone's.)

Momomaro's feelings for Kuniko Mukoda really came across in this letter. Perhaps "liking Mukoda-san" is the origin of Momomaro's writing.

4. I posted several "novels" on note.

Due to my work commitments, it was difficult to write novels specifically for note, but the "children" (my novels) that I had submitted to public competitions the year before last and last year have returned to me. Because of that, my shop, which is a "bakery" that until now had almost no "bread" and was mostly "cookies," can now offer "bread."
It's a bit like, "I hope you don't come back..." though.

This header image is something my second daughter was "doodling" on with markers for some reason, and I asked her, "Can I have this?" It looks like a picture of someone who is "worried about something," but she is the most lively and cheerful person in our house.

This novel is a story about a music college student related to Chopin's "Nocturne No. 13." When I write a novel, I do research on the surrounding topics. This time, too, I did research on Chopin and carefully examined the piece while comparing the sheet music and the audio source. As a result, I was mistaken for someone "well-versed in classical music" and was invited to join a "Classical Music Appreciation Society." I have been learning since I joined. However, in my job, I am in charge of music classes at an elementary school.

By the way, the reason I started writing this story was because my eldest daughter, who was a junior high school student at the time, was practicing Chopin's "Nocturne No. 2." I have always liked Chopin and often listened to his CDs, but I chose my favorite, "No. 13," instead of "No. 2." The story is fiction.

"Bach in Alaska," which Daiki Wada, the organizer of the Classical Music Appreciation Society, introduces in the article below, features Yo-Yo Ma, who seems to have reached his middle age, performing in a desolate birch forest, unadorned and just as he is. It was as if he was trying to awaken something important in the hearts of those who listen. It is the one piece that moved me the most this year. 5. Actually, this was the hardest part!

A repost, though it's embarrassing
Inspired by Tetsuya Togashi's brilliant performance of "Seseragi" composed by Yukie Nishimura, I practiced desperately. Every time I recorded it, I would make a mistake somewhere... Thanks to this piece being difficult, the accompaniments I play at work have become easier to play.
