feeling better, so I'm going to start posting again ❤︎

This is the third installment of my English song translations!
I've been having a string of days where my mood was low,
so I chose a song that can lift my spirits 😊

I've never been to a club myself, but
while I was studying abroad, I often heard conversations like this.
Those people always seemed to be having fun,
and even though I'm not good with clubs,
I remember feeling a little envious.
Seeing them having fun made me happy too.

Slept in all my clothes like I didn't care
(I fell asleep in my clothes, oh well)

Changing clothes after you've been drinking and having fun is
really a hassle, isn't it? lol
I can't believe that's in the lyrics... lol
And saying "oh well," I totally get that.

Hopped into a cab take me anywhere

There's something nice about taxis, isn't there?
The scenery you see from a car driven by someone
who knows the area well—whether it's narrow streets or main roads—
is full of roads I don't know, which I personally find fun ✨️

Freaked out dropped my phone in the pool again
(Freaked out because I dropped my phone in the pool again)

No, I've never dropped my phone in a pool in my life,
I thought while translating this.
Pools appear often in Western movies and songs,
so I assume they were playing there and dropped it,
but it's a cultural difference, isn't it? Also, nowadays many people
wear things like smartphone covers when they get in the pool,
so it seems unlikely to get waterlogged.

Also, for hit the ATM,
(go to the ATM) just withdrawing money
is fine.

I was translating while listening to the original song,
and it was lively and fun, including the music video!

I translated this song for mental care and as rehabilitation for my note,
