5 Recommended Hospitals and Clinics for Egg Freezing in Tokyo [2026]: Choosing with Future IVF in Mind
When it comes to egg freezing, it is important not only to consider "where to freeze your eggs now," but also to choose a clinic with the future use of those eggs in mind.
When using frozen eggs, the process involves thawing, performing intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo culture, and embryo transfer. Additionally, there is a possibility that the eggs will be stored for several years, or in some cases, more than 10 years.
Therefore, in this article, we have selected 5 hospitals and clinics in Tokyo that offer egg freezing based on the following three perspectives:

What we prioritized in choosing an egg freezing clinic
1. Proven track record in egg retrieval and embryo transfer, looking ahead to future IVF
When using frozen eggs in the future, the eggs are thawed, fertilized, cultured into embryos, and transferred to the uterus.
Therefore, we prioritized facilities where you can verify their track record not only in egg freezing but also in subsequent IVF and embryo transfer.
For comparison between facilities, we used 2019 and 2020 data from the "Medical Institutions Implementing Specified Infertility Treatment Subsidy Programs" published by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Social Welfare and Public Health.
This time, we combined the number of frozen embryo transfers and the number of live births for women aged 35 to under 40 for both years, targeting clinics with 100 or more frozen embryo transfers, calculated the live birth rate using "Number of live births ÷ Number of frozen embryo transfers," and used this as a reference for selecting clinics.
Furthermore, as supplementary information to confirm the scale of treatment at the facilities, we have also included egg retrieval performance data published by the Children and Families Agency.
※The live birth rate data is not the treatment outcome after egg freezing, but the performance of frozen embryo transfer in infertility treatment. It is used as a reference indicator to look at the treatment track record of facilities that will perform ICSI, embryo culture, and embryo transfer in the future.
2. Long-standing experience in reproductive medicine
Eggs may be stored for a long period of time.
While this does not mean that new clinics are inferior, considering that you will be entrusting your eggs for a long time, having a long history of providing reproductive medicine was also made a selection criterion.
3. Located near a station for easy access
For egg freezing, you will need to visit the clinic multiple times for consultations, blood tests, and ultrasound examinations before egg retrieval. In addition to the distance from the station, we also checked whether they are open for consultations on weekday evenings and on weekends and holidays.

Their official website states that they perform over 400 egg freezing procedures annually, and for 2021–2025, the pregnancy rate per frozen egg-derived embryo transfer was 43%.
