"If the day comes when the pandemic settles down
and we can travel abroad again,
first it'll be Taiwan, yeah, yeah,
xiao long bao,
hot pot,
douhua (tofu pudding) or shaved ice.

Eating squeezed in tight
at a lively breakfast specialty shop,
shaobing or xian dou jiang (savory soy milk).

Eating while squeezed in tight was something to be grateful for, wasn't it? So peaceful.
Here it comes, Taiwan mode!
Lunch will be that.

So, I went and bought it.
A specialty shop I recently learned about.
Lu Rou Fan.
Sweet and spicy braised pork belly, boiled egg, pickled mustard greens, rice.

Wow, Taiwan~~
With the rising scent of star anise,
I was instantly transported
to a street corner in Taipei.

The last time I went to Taipei was in the autumn of 2019.
Delicious~ [Eating a steamed bun while walking]
It was a trip with three women,
but we had separate flights and hotels,
meeting and parting ways locally,
free time during the day,
So cute~ [Shopping]
So cold~ [Shaved ice]
Meeting up at a restaurant at night!
A trip for adults with the utmost freedom...

That was fun~ *munch*
Sweet and spicy, it goes well with rice.

In junior high and high school, we did everything together.
Let's go to the bathroom~ Okay!

Back then, it was important not to be alone.
Even though we were always together like that,
now, I only have one of their email addresses.

Friends, *munch*
how many do you make in a lifetime?
If you include elementary school classmates as friends,
maybe 500 to 600?

When the weight of "friends" was incredibly heavy,
both the fun times and the tough times were intense.

What about now? Hmm.
The pleasantly light feeling of meeting and parting ways locally, haha.
Everything has become a bit lighter.

It was a lunch where the scent of star anise brought back the past.
Now, for dessert, it's Taiwanese castella cake💛"

and it was from what I read in July,

I'm sure there were people who read both magazines in real time.

Between essay manga and fiction manga,
and the meals I experienced on my own trip to Taiwan,
I am impressed by how skillfully the same material is reused.
