For those struggling with running out of ideas for note | Let's have Claude create an idea notebook for you
The problem of running out of ideas for note
When you work hard on posting every day,
you gradually run out of ideas.
This is an eternal struggle for those
who continue to publish content, isn't it?
Getting stuck wondering,
"What should I write today?"
or feeling exhausted
because you've run out of ideas.
I think this lack of ideas is where people who start publishing
often stumble.
Articles that note truly supports
Actually, note's official team has released a policy
regarding this choice of topics.
It is an article by Mr. Fukatsu, the CXO of note.
Roughly speaking,
the content is that note will
actively support "primary information" and
"records of raw experiences".
Rather than neatly summarized information,
things you have experienced yourself.
Things you have noticed.
Things you have learned from failure.
note will promote
such raw records.
If you are interested,
please take a look at it once.
Ideas are hidden in your daily life
Thinking about it that way,
ideas are not in
some special place.
Insights gained while
conducting online business daily.
Methods you used to overcome
hitting a wall.
Things you did casually yourself,
but surprised others when you told them about it.
All of these
are excellent ideas.
In my case,
when I talked to an acquaintance about a certain tool,
just by sharing a small usage tip
I once had someone tell me,
"I felt like I wanted to try using this for the first time."
What was obvious to me
was a new discovery for them.
That interaction itself
became an article idea just as it was.
But if you miss that moment, you'll forget it.
The trouble is,
even if I think, "This would make a good topic,"
if I don't write it down on the spot,
I usually forget it.
Even if I try to remember it later,
the feeling I had at that moment
doesn't quite come back.
Ideas are perishable,
so you need to capture them
while they are still fresh.
Having Claude write your idea notebook
That's why what I do is
leave the idea notebook
to Claude.
When I'm working and I think,
"Oh, this would make a good topic,"
I tell Claude,
"Write this in my idea notebook."
Then Claude
organizes the main points
and adds it to the notebook.
There's no need to open a memo
and type it in yourself.
Just tell it in a word
the moment you think of it.
Moving with a single word is thanks to "skills"
It's a hassle to ask for that task
in detail every time.
That's where I use
the feature called skills.
It sounds a bit difficult,
but what it does is simple.
"When I say this,
open the idea notebook
and add this."
I have Claude learn that procedure
once.
Then, from the next time on,
it will perform the same action
with just the phrase, "Write this in my idea notebook."
You can call up specific tasks
without having to explain them
every single time.
That is what a skill is.
To begin with, where is this topic notebook?
I have been calling it a "topic notebook"
but it is not
a special app.
You just need to prepare
one file for notes
on your computer.
Claude will add to it
for you.
If you are wondering, "What do you mean by a file on my computer?"
please take the text below
and pass it as-is
to the AI you usually use.
I use a computer regularly, but I am not very used to creating and managing files myself. Please briefly explain how to create one "note file" on a computer and what kind of thing it is.
It will surely
explain it kindly to you 😊
There is just one prerequisite
For this way of using it, where Claude opens a file
and adds content like a topic notebook,
there is only one condition.
It is that you use it in an environment where Claude
can read and write files on your computer.
The usual chat on your smartphone or browser
is centered on conversational exchanges,
so it cannot reach
files on your computer.
As an environment where you can directly touch files,
for engineers,Claude Codeis recommended,
and for others,Coworkis recommended.
Furthermore, you can even have it ask you
If you take it one step further,
you can do things like this.
When you are working with Claude,
have Claude
"Should I write this down in the topic notebook?"
ask you that.
You will be able to have it pick up topics
that you might have overlooked yourself.
With just a little ingenuity in the system,
you can do this much.
First, try creating one idea notebook.
There is no need to overthink it.
At first,
a light usage like "just make a note of things you notice"
is enough.
As your small daily realizations
gradually accumulate,
the times you get stuck on
"what should I write today"
will gradually decrease.
The idea notebook
will support your content creation
from behind.
