#14 "If children live with sharing, they learn compassion"
Good morning!
Monday✨
Let's learn "Children Learn What They Live" together♫🤗
From the poem "Children Learn What They Live"
⭐️If children live with sharing, they learn compassion⭐️
The kindness of sharing✨
It's wonderful, isn't it?☺️
I want to nurture compassion✨
***
Family life is built upon the sharing of family members.
Young children learn the heart of sharing through the experience of helping and cooperating within the family.
The heart of sharing is not taught through words,
it is important for parents to show it through their actions✨
If a family has a heart of sharing,
children will learn the importance and joy of giving in their daily lives.
A person who can give to others as a sign of love
without expecting anything in return
I want to raise my child to be that kind of person✨
***
⭐️ Sharing starts from when they are a baby
It takes time for young children to become able to consider the feelings of others.Considering the feelings of others is an ability that children learn little by little throughout all stages of their growth.
Babies cannot distinguish between themselves and their parents.
Being able to recognize oneself and one's mother as separate beings is the first step in growth!✨
Young children are also much the same as babies.
They try to satisfy their desires immediately on the spot.
👉 The parent's role is to teach children who are being selfish how to share little by little.
It is said that it is best to teach the spirit of sharing using familiar things from the time they start toddling.
"One cookie for Mom, one for Dad. And here is one for you."
As children get a little older, they become able to distribute things to others before taking them for themselves, and they can wait for their turn.
Some content on developmental psychology is written here.
<Forms of play that young children learn first>
・A form where they play side-by-side with a playmate"Parallel play"
⇒ They feel happy because the other person is there, but there is not much interaction between the two.
・From around two and a half years old, they become able to play together in the true sense.
⇒ Great proof that the child has begun to acquire social skills✨
At this point, the child begins to learn to share something with others.
It is more fun to play with two people than to play alone✨
Parents want to teach their children the spirit of sharing, but they cannot rely solely on the child's conscience.
If they feel like they are losing out,
a spirit of sharing will not be born...
Parents must be creative from time to time!
Family members must not treat a child's precious treasures carelessly.
It is also not good to force them to lend them to other children.
Also, you should not take them away because they are "big now" or use them for discipline. If they are taken by a sibling or friend, the parent should get them back for the child.
There are things that even children absolutely do not want to lend to others!
Favorite items can sometimes have a special psychological flavor, such as a sense of security, comfort, or solace.
My daughters have also held onto things that gave them a sense of security, like being with their mother, and felt comforted.💕☺️
Even at a young age, they are learning so many things.✨
***
What is sharing in the true sense?
It is the act of giving, and a heart that expects nothing in return.✨
Thinking of that person,
and giving them what they need.
Even if I have to make some sacrifices,
I don't think of it as a loss...
Because,
by giving,
I am essentially gaining.
(I really understand this part.)
It is the same as the part I wrote about in the article on altruism and selfishness.☺️
Raising children is,
truly
The "act of giving"
itself!
If parents expect something in return from their children... they will surely feel betrayed.
The best thing parents can give their children is,
to be by their side✨
You cannot get back the time you have lost...
let's cherish the time we have now✨
If you are going to make time for your children,
it is best to start doing so while they are still small✨
Children grow up in the blink of an eye!
If you keep putting it off day after day, it will be too late...
Even if parents think they are spending enough time with their children,
the children may not feel the same way...
Our time and energy are limited!
Have the flexibility to adapt to your child's life.
Having been blessed with precious children,
I want to pass on the "act of giving" in life and living💕
***
A few fulfilling minutes are worth more than
an hour of meaningless time!
Being with your child is important, but
it's not just about being together...
Your attitude and heart will be conveyed
I am constantly reminded that
children are always watching their parents...
Even if it's just for a few minutes a day,
make sure to create time to focus your attention solely on your child.
Such moments with a parent are irreplaceable to a child.
Parents should make time to spend with their children happily!
Children love seeing their parents happy to be with them, don't they? ☺️
Even as adults, we feel happy when we see someone who is happy to be with us, right? 💕
***
A heart that helps those in need
If they can come to think, 'I want to be useful to someone in trouble!',
the child has learned a great deal about the heart of sharing.
Children will feel willing and proactive about doing something.
Parents, don't find it troublesome; lend a hand to such children. ✨
A child who says they want to do volunteer work
A child who says they want to donate money
It is said that children have great energy! ✨☺️
