🌈 For Your Health

Hello everyone!

Today, I made two healthy noodle dishes using 1 kg of shirataki noodles:

🇯🇵 Japanese-Style Chicken & Wild Vegetable Shirataki "Pasta"

🇨🇳 Chinese-Style Zhajiang Noodles

Both recipes are made entirely in the microwave, so there's no need to use the stove!

About Shirataki
(AI-generated information)

Shirataki is a traditional Japanese noodle made from konjac (konnyaku) root. It is composed mostly of water and dietary fiber, making it gluten-free and very low in calories.

……………………………………………………………
🌟 Remove the Konjac Odor
in the Microwave 🌟

Rinse the shirataki well.
Place it in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with enough water to submerge it.

Microwave uncovered:
500W: 5 minutes
600W: 4 minutes

Drain well, and it's ready to use!
If storing after this step, keep it refrigerated and use within 2–3 days.

……………………………………………………………

Preparation

1 kg shirataki noodles

Microwave to remove the odor

Drain well
and cut into shorter lengths

💡 If you stir-fry the drained shirataki in a dry pan (without oil) to remove excess moisture, it absorbs seasonings even better.
(I skipped this step this time.)

💬 A Quick Note

I usually use konjac noodles, but this time I decided to try shirataki noodles instead.

Compared to regular konjac noodles, I found shirataki to be thinner and softer in texture.
(Just my personal opinion!)
