#WhatAreWeTalkingAbout has set sail to the sea🚢

A story about the person who guided the #WhatAreWeTalkingAbout ship, boarded by the Rojiura folks, out into the open ocean.

The other day, Snow Honda, one of the initiators and key players behind the publication of the #WhatAreWeTalkingAbout e-book, released the article below👇.

I actually knew Snow was going to post this article😅.

Of course, it’s partly due to her nature as a noter and her own personality, but more than anything, I knew she was someone with a pure desire to accurately convey the changes happening in the back alley, so I was looking forward to this article, and she wrote it just as I expected. Thank you, Snow!

At first, when I heard from Snow on X that she was 'thinking of something amazing,' I thought she might be doing a private contest or something, but it was an e-book😅.

Whoa! I’m sure the Rojiura folks must have thought, 'Seriously? (@v@?'

Even though she had negotiated with Konishi-san in advance, the person who starts something is the one who gets criticized until the end, and if it’s something that seems impossible, the external pressure becomes even stronger. But Snow noticed that this whole series of actions would become the ultimate #WhatAreWeTalkingAbout—she realized it, was convinced of it, and even though she must have been the most anxious of all, she just went ahead and said, 'I’ll do it!😆' with her characteristic agility (no offense intended😅) (lol).

Oh boy, this is going to be an incredible movement.

Thinking that, I decided in an instant to participate.

Even though I’ve never written a book before! That’s right. I didn’t have a shred of anxiety about taking on a challenge I’d never done before. Yes, because it’s #WhatAreWeTalkingAbout. And because I clearly understood the essence of #WhatAreWeTalkingAbout at the time (see 'Katamari Damacy of Creators').

Oh, I wrote 'the essence at the time' because it seems there isn't just one essence to #WhatAreWeTalkingAbout (lol). Strangely enough, that essence might change as time goes by.

I was watching the #WhatAreWeTalkingAbout movement while observing the actions of Mr. Konishi Kinoko and the other Rojiura members as well.

Everyone looks like they’re having so much fun😊. Grown adults, at that.

Moreover, even when told they are wasting their talents, they are throwing everything they’ve got into it without caring about appearances. They are playing with all their might, even though they don't know what they are talking about and know it serves no purpose.

Watching them, adults who have become normal adults inevitably think, 'I’m kind of jealous.'^^ Everyone definitely thinks that, but most people hesitate to step into that circle. Why is that?

It’s just like when you were a child and saw a group of friends playing happily, and you couldn't find the courage to join the circle while saying, 'Can I play too?'

We had just that much courage when we were children, but once we become ordinary adults, it disappears before we know it. The person themselves doesn't even notice (they've forgotten). That's why all that comes out from within is 'envy'.

Everyone in the back-alley crowd must have been like that at first, too. But for various reasons, they each tried to summon that little bit of courage. And then, they were able to return to the time when they were children, when they only thought about playing without a care in the world.

For those back-alley people, it is truly #WhatAreYouTalkingAbout. Even for the general public, 'e-book publishing,' which definitely becomes #WhatAreYouTalkingAbout, is something everyone can easily arrive at the model answer for if they think about it for a moment. Since Snow-san pulled off that great achievement (and it should be called that), I am full of gratitude and think it's amazing.

Lastly.

I was able to have this experience because I wrote articles on note and met friends there. I have nothing but gratitude for being able to make my debut as an author? (that's presumptuous (lol)).

I can only say I'm lucky to have had many opportunities to experience things that seem like they will become popular before they actually do. I will continue to follow this movement closely so I don't miss it.
