I won an award at the Creative Awards 2025!
The results were announced today,
and I won an award in the Business category at the Creative Awards 2025!!
Thank you to everyone who read it!
↑This is the article.
This was my first time applying to the Creative Awards.
I wanted to submit an article about memory in the Business category, and after thinking about what would have the most demand and be worth writing about from my perspective, I decided to write about how to remember faces and names.
I was debating whether to also submit my 'Aruaru' (relatable) article that won an award at this year's Omocoro Cup, but I thought the tone might be different, so I only submitted the article about faces and names.
As a result, I passed the preliminary screening and successfully won an award!
Although I didn't win a Media Award, I'm moved that such a niche article made it this far. I mean, there are only about 200 people in Japan who compete in memory sports. This year, I managed to win awards at both the Omocoro Cup and the Creative Awards.
At the time I finished my application, I had a baseless confidence that I would make it pretty far, but I'm just so happy that the results exceeded my expectations.
So, I went to the awards ceremony today!

It was amazing.
There were so many winners, media personnel, and people from note, making it a space filled with excitement. It's the best kind of space when everyone has a passionate desire for writing and content.
The Media Award winners all gave speeches, and they were all wonderful speeches that stimulated my creative drive.
Personally, the speech by KEN THE 390, who won for 'Bring the Beat,' was very passionate.
As I wrote in my article about content that influenced my life, I really loved Freestyle Dungeon. I was happy to be able to talk to him. I definitely want it to be adapted into a film.
There was also time set aside for networking, but since I had written an article like that, I felt I had to remember everyone's face and name, so I memorized all the winning works and names before heading there.
For example, for Mika-san, the office worker from 'Hoshino Resorts,' I imagined her staying at a Hoshino Resort for three days; for Mochizuki-san from 'Marriage Proposal and Fried Shrimp,' I imagined a fried shrimp landing on the moon; and for Taki Ayumi-san from '7-Eleven~,' I imagined a waterfall flowing from a 7-Eleven with her walking on top of it. (I'll skip the rest since I don't think there's a demand for how I memorized everyone's names.)
Since I couldn't know everyone's faces in advance, I used a technique to link the image of the work title with the image of the name to memorize them.
Including the Best Reviewer Award winners, I memorized all 83 people before heading to the venue, so I was able to interact with many people successfully! I felt once again how amazing the power of memory is.Many people approached me saying, 'You're the memory person, right?', and I realized the benefit that having a good memory makes it easier for people to remember you. I highly recommend it.
The two hours of networking flew by, and the awards ceremony came to a close. I'm really glad I was able to participate.
I have always wanted to create a world where everyone can enjoy remembering things.
Memory is not something innate; it can be trained as much as you want after birth. I spent 10 years proving that.
You can remember what you love. Everyone's memory is not actually bad.
I have seen many people struggling with their studies or work simply because they do not know how to use memory techniques.Memory is inherently a free, creative, and enjoyable activity. What you remember defines who you are. If memory skills improve, children will no longer struggle with exams, and seniors can gain confidence in their own brains.
I believe that if memory techniques become more widespread, everyone will be able to enjoy the process of learning.
For that reason, I felt once again that I need to document all the knowledge I possess in writing and content, and share it with the world.
I believe in the power of writing. It was clear that everyone who attended the awards ceremony strongly believes in the power of writing.
I will popularize memory techniques and memory sports even more. I hope this reaches more people. I will write more. I will do my best.
