Do you think a 5,500 yen hair dryer is expensive?

I think it is expensive.

Isn't a hair dryer just something that needs to blow warm air? You can even find them online for just over 1,000 yen.

To me, that was the extent of what a 'hair dryer' was.

And yet.

When the hair dryer we had been using at home broke and we went to replace it, my eldest son, who is a high school senior, said, 'Please, I want you to buy something a little better.'

After some back and forth,we finally bought a 5,500 yen hair dryer, but I realized the reason for that was the same as why a 'note' gets read,so I'd like to write about that this time.

The deciding factor for the purchase was, quite simply, the reviews.

From that moment on, my eldest son began a fierce presentation on high-end hair dryers.

“Great airflow,” “makes hair smooth,” “quiet,” “quick-drying”—he kept throwing information he found online at me.
In the end, he even said, “YouTubers use it too.”

It started with a 20,000 yen hair dryer, and after a slow, drawn-out battle between parent and child, the price finally came down to 5,500 yen.

Still, 5,500 yen...

My long-ingrained housewife spirit wouldn't allow it.

When I opened the online store page with skepticism, there were over 700 high-rated reviews lined up. It didn't seem like a bad product.

The stars were almost perfect, and the following types of comments caught my eye.

• It dries very quickly!

• It's a great bargain at this price.

• The ease of use, strong airflow, and the alternating hot and cool air functions at this price are the best.

• Since I started using this, the flyaways and stray hairs have decreased.

• It's great value for money at this price.

Especially as a frugal housewife, I was glued to the words "great value" and "what a bargain!"It might be worth spending 5,500 yen.

When I asked my husband next to me, "It's 5,500 yen, you know?", he gave a wry smile and said, "Well, isn't that fine?"

My eldest son was overjoyed and got the new hair dryer that very day.

Reviews get attention on note, too

In the simple act of "buying a hair dryer," I was unconsciously relying on "reviews."

The number of reviews, the high ratings, and the realistic usage experience.

And above all, the phrases "great value" and "good cost performance" pushed me to make the purchase.

The same can be said when writing a note. Especially when you want people to read your paid notes, you should use the feedback you have received so far.

What moves people's hearts is not perfect writing or flashy achievements, butthe realistic feedback from those who read it.Only when a reader takes an article as "their own" does it lead to action.

Empathy over technique.
Honest feelings over embellished copy.
It is true feelings that move people's hearts.

There are many such articles on note. Even if the writer isn't someone special, being able to say "I get it" or "I was the same way."

That alone becomes a reason to be read, and has the power to make people think, "Maybe I'll buy this paid note," or "Maybe I'll try this."
