Nice to meet you. This is the "Bulking Design Lab."
Nice to meet you.
Thank you for coming to this note.
Even though I am 180cm tall, I have always struggled with being thin, weighing in the 60kg range.
"You're so thin," "Are you eating enough?"
I know they probably didn't mean any harm, but every time I heard those words, I felt a little hurt.
That's why I started strength training.
Little by little, my body changed, and I started to gain confidence.
However, as work got busier, I drifted away from training, and the body I had worked so hard to build went back to how it was before.
"I'm going to give it another serious try."
I decided that, and restarted strength training in July 2026.
The reason I'm posting on this note
This note is not a place to show off a "perfected body."
It is a record of a person who is in the process of changing right now.
Daily training.
Successes in bulking up.
Failures.
Changes in body weight.
Days when my motivation dropped.
I will share everything without hiding anything.
Social media is filled with nothing but finished products.
But reality is different.
There are plateaus too.
There are days when I want to slack off.
There are days when eating is tough.
That is precisely why I want to value the "real" in this note.
It's not just about muscle training.
I usually work in disability welfare.
While involved in supporting people with disabilities, I am also studying to pass the national exam for certified social workers.
Muscle training, studying, and work all have something in common.
That is, they don't change all at once.
Only the daily accumulation of effort changes you.
That is why I continue to update this note every day.
What you can read in this note
・A realistic record of restarting muscle training
・Changes in weight and body
・Meals and tips while bulking
・How to deal with motivation
・Ways of thinking about muscle training, work, and life
・Failure stories and things I've improved
I will write about not just successes, but all my failures as well.
I hope this will be helpful for others who are struggling with the same issues.
What will be written in the paid articles?
In the free articles, I mainly share daily events and my way of thinking.
On the other hand, in the paid articles, I organize my experiences into a reproducible format.
For example,
I will tell you everything I failed at while bulking
The things I actually changed to gain weight
The reason you can change your body without spending money
The difference between those who can continue and those who give up
I have compiled what I learned through my own trial and error into an easy-to-read format.
I never had any special talent.
That is precisely why I believe it will be useful for people with similar worries.
What I want to achieve through this note
My goal is not just to build muscle.
I want to increase the number of people who regain their confidence by changing their bodies.
Like I used to be,
"I want to change, but I don't know where to start."
I want to continue sharing content that can push such people forward.
When I look back at this first article in a few months or years,
"I have come this far since then."
I will keep building on this today, so that I can feel that way.
Thank you for reading until the end.
If you resonated with this even a little, please follow me and watch over my future changes.
And if you think you want to "minimize detours as much as possible," please take a look at my paid articles.
I have written everything I learned from my own actual failures, without holding anything back.
This challenge has only just begun.
Let's grow together.
For first-time visitors | 3 articles you should read first
"I want to make my body bigger."
Even if you think that, you don't know where to start.
I used to be the same, weighing in the 60kg range despite being 180cm tall.
I couldn't gain weight even when I ate, I couldn't keep it up, and I failed many times.
That is exactly why I have compiled only what I have actually experienced in my paid articles.
First, I want you to read these 3 articles.
1. The dietary techniques that allowed me, at 180cm and 60kg, to finally eat enough
― Exclusively for the skinny. For those who struggle with eating ―
Even when told to "eat," I just couldn't.
I have summarized the methods that allowed me, who once struggled with that problem, to increase my food intake without strain.
The first step to bulking up is not training, but "building a body that can eat."
If you struggle with eating, please start by reading this article.
2. A weight gain roadmap for gaining +5kg in 3 months
I explain what I actually did to gain weight, following a 3-month timeline.
What I ate, how I trained, and what mindset I used to keep going.
A practical roadmap for those who want to change their body in the shortest time possible.
3. I will tell you everything I failed at during my weight gain journey
— The story of the detours I took when I was 180cm and 60kg —
・The story of eating too much and feeling sick
・The story of wasting money on useless supplements
・The story of failing due to overtraining
・The reason I quit strength training
・The cause of my weight loss
・The reason I was able to start again from there
I have compiled all the "failures you don't need to make" that you can't learn from success stories alone.
This is content I really want those who are about to start gaining weight to read.
I will continue to share my daily reality in free articles.
In paid articles, I will share "experiences to avoid wasting time and money."
I hope this will be a hint for your body building.
