Why I Started Writing Note [No. 36]
Thanks to all of you, this Note has reached a milestone of 5,000 views. Having accumulated over 30 articles so far, I would like to take this opportunity to organize the reasons why I started sharing my thoughts.
1. The 'Quiet Foundation' That Saved Me at a Crossroads in Life
At the root of why I started this Note lies a poignant experience.
In the past, I did not face money head-on and continued to spend wastefully until I was over 50. At that time, my two children were approaching university age, and one of them aspired to attend a private medical school. Faced with the high cost of education, I was half-prepared to give up my current career and change jobs to a higher-paying environment.
However, by stopping to organize my financial structure, a path opened up. Instead of taking on large risks like real estate investment, I was able to avoid sacrificing my career by slightly changing my approach as an extension of the asset formation I had been doing all along. Once I could see the future clearly, my way of working changed significantly, and a sense of living my own life began to emerge.
2. The Unexpected Challenge Attracted by 'Consistency'
As a result of not changing jobs and continuing to step up to the plate at the same workplace, I had the opportunity to take on an unexpected challenge: running for a professorship.
Although it resulted in defeat, the way I thought through 'career differentiation' and 'what I should truly be working on' during the process of this challenge became a guideline for my future life that is far more valuable than the result itself.
It was precisely because I resolved my anxieties and stayed in my current position that I was able to reflect on myself so deeply.
3. If This Wisdom Can Become Someone's 'Reason Not to Give Up'
Currently, I am living a happy life while cherishing my family and health. The asset formation method that became the foundation of this life is by no means special to me alone.
If there is someone out there worrying, 'I have to give up my current career for the sake of money,' I thought my experience might help them fulfill their child's dreams while protecting their own career. That is why I picked up my pen.
4. The Process of 'Verbalization' Born from Dialogue with AI
I started this Note with such motivations, but I am surprised myself that I have been able to continue writing over 30 articles with the help of AI.
When I throw fragmented thoughts at AI to write a single article, it turns them into a complete piece of writing in one form or another. This is the amazing thing about AI; it significantly lowers the hurdle for consistency, which is where I would normally get discouraged in this process.
By repeating the work of revising that text to match my feelings, the verbalization of what I was thinking naturally progresses.
In that process, the content I should write in the next article comes to mind a little, so I repeat the process of having the AI turn it into text and verbalizing it again, and somehow I have been able to accumulate articles up to this point.
This work has also become a good opportunity to think about how to convey things and what my future image looks like.
I do not know myself how long my ideas will last in the future. Perhaps the ideas will run out someday, or the focus of the topics will shift significantly from what it is now. However, I would like to leave that as it is, as a 'record of thoughts at that time, at that moment'.
Finally
Beyond the number 5,000 lies the precious time of those who have read my work. From here on out, I intend to walk forward without ever rushing, observing the scenery around me, and using my own growth as my only indicator.
And while enjoying the "experiment" of seeing how far this anonymous dissemination will spread until it reaches the colleagues working right next to me.
