【Calligraphy is the person】Your handwriting is your self-introduction ~Don't you think business cards and resumes are unnecessary❓️~
“Calligraphy is the person,” “Handwriting reveals the character.”
As someone who has loved the Kaisho (block) script style until now,
and who wants to master the Kaisho script style,
I feel like my personality itself might be Kaisho script.
(My vocabulary... is tragic)
I feel like I myself might be Kaisho script.
(My Japanese... is pitiful)
I wonder if you can...
understand the nuance.
People introduce themselves
by listing various words,
but I think, isn't just “writing” enough❓️
I think that for a self-introduction,
isn't just “handwriting” enough❓️
“Just show me your handwriting, that’s all I need.”
Because I can understand you just from that.
To that extent,
the characters a person writes and the style they prefer
reveal that person's character
and tell the story of who they are.
Just as the way people with beautiful handwriting are perceived
causes their image to improve rapidly,
I feel these days that
handwriting is the ultimate self-introduction.
Facial features...
body type...
these are things that don't change in a day,
and if the most significant of these is “handwriting”,
then perhaps the characters a person writes
are their life itself.
But no one...
just as you weren't born into that family
and raised in that environment because you wanted to be,
surely with handwriting, too,
you didn't become that way because you wanted to,
and I think there are many people who want to write well
but just can't.
That is simply because you “don't know.”
It's okay. There is a demon here.
Rather than “looking beautiful,”
to truly make your handwriting beautiful,
please practice only Hiragana (Hiragana that harmonizes with Kaisho)
and Kaisho-style Kanji,
especially Kanji with few strokes.
The reason is that
Kanji with few strokes
are almost entirely radicals.
They are almost entirely basic strokes (the smallest units that make up Kanji).
And,
Hiragana is the most difficult thing
to write well among all characters.
You understand, right?
The fact that you can write these two well means...
That's right.
“Kaisho-style Kanji with few strokes and Hiragana”
This is the reason why practicing only that is enough.
Not just calligraphy teachers,
but any kind of teacher,
a “teacher” is a creature
that tries to lead you to their own area of expertise.
They tend to try to teach using the areas they are good at within that field.
Even when using “analogies,”
they will lead you to their area of expertise to explain things.
Surely,
any teacher would.
In the case of a calligraphy teacher,
they blame the other person, saying “You want to write mature-looking characters, right?”
and they pass over the Kaisho script and Hiragana that they are not good at
so smoothly, so quickly,
so smoothly, so quickly,
too fast,
I feel that there are many such teachers.
It is true that if you use Gyosho (cursive) script,
the characters will look more mature,
but just because they are Kaisho script
doesn't mean they are childish.
That is just them wanting to bring you to their area of expertise. (I think it is unconscious and there is no malice.)
What do you seek, and where do you want to go?
I want you to make sure you don't make the wrong choice.
Beautiful handwriting is built only upon foundations.
That handwriting, which is both your business card and your resume,
represents your life.
(I feel like I forced the conversation back to self-introductions)
Titles, achievements, qualifications, and career history
surely indicate authority,
while handwriting surely indicates personality.
What the written characters say
is something that
I feel is a little different from things like job titles, even if they seem similar.
“Beautiful handwriting is built 'only' on a foundation.”
What I am saying is already in regular script...
Handwriting is the person themselves.
The silent persuasiveness of handwriting
You don't have to say anything
Your handwriting will say it all
I suppose.

《An excuse that sounds like a supplement》
I don't have any... semi-cursive or cursive script... or pictures (pictures?)...
Of course, kanji, hiragana, and katakana too
Brush writing and pen writing
Anything I write
There is nothing I feel uncomfortable with. I like them all.
(If that weren't the case, we'd be in trouble, teacher, right?)
It's not that I'm good at hiragana and regular script kanji
so I'm leaning towards that.
(Even I
want to write more in semi-cursive script~
It's simple, easy, and looks good... that's why.)
It's not that I don't write in semi-cursive script
because I'm bad at it,
I think I just really hate
not being able to write basic regular script properly.
Things that aren't used will fade away...
Surely everything.
Things that aren't used will fade away...
Ah, what am I talking about...
