The story of how I was inspired by an interview with Konishi Kinoko-san and created a music video
An interview article with Konishi Kinoko-san, who presides over the literary-based comprehensive expression entertainment "#WhatAreYouTalkingAbout," has been published by the Kokugakuin note media editorial department.
I was so moved by what was being discussed that I couldn't help but turn the content of Konishi-san's talk into lyrics and create a music video.
I want Konishi-san's message to reach all of humanity across the entire universe.
Please listen.
What are you talking about
Verse 1
The more I arranged my words well so as not to be laughed at,
the more I hid my true voice,
holding my breath somewhere.
At the ticket gate on the way home, in my pocket,
on a trembling night, unable to show anyone,
the stories I swallowed keep increasing.
Pre-Chorus 1 Every time I threw away useless pain
and nameless loneliness, saying "that's just how it is,"
I felt like I was becoming thinner myself.
But you smile and say,
that there's no need for a punchline,
and leave just one word at the end,
like magic.
Chorus 1
"What are you talking about?"With just that, there are nights when I can even say
the things I couldn't say before.
The traces of tears and the lost paths
are shining, just as trivial as they are.
If I embrace them without meaning,
the world feels a little softer.
Hey, this isn't a story about magic.
It's a signal for you to forgive yourself.
Verse 2
The first applause was far away, and the other side of the screen remained quiet.
Even so, the reason I couldn't delete it
is because if I did, nothing would remain.
In the white room before the dawn,
I scroll with my fingers and pick them up.
Stories that make no sense,
I light a lamp for each one.
Pre-Chorus 2
Whether it's interesting or not,no one can decide that.
I want to be someone who accepts
the anger, the worries, and the sighs.
If I can't be the sun,
at least on the edge of the night road,
I want to stay close to someone's small, true feelings without naming them.
Chorus 2
"What are you talking about?" With just that, even the yesterdays I had tucked away
come undone as the morning arrives.
It's not correct, it's not useful,
but there are things that still strike a chord.
If I can laugh without meaning,
I can live properly today too.
Look, this isn't a special talent.
It's an entrance that exists within you too.
Bridge
Turning into sound, turning into pictures, turning into songs, leaping over the pages.
Words like back-alley secrets illuminate someone's tomorrow.
From the corner of a shelf, to a summer market, to the palms of strangers, that feeling of "maybe I'll try writing" becomes the next story.
"What are you talking about?"With that one phrase, at the end of any story,
a place to belong is created.
Even if it's a detour, even if it's ordinary, that is a certain life.
Before the dawn, when I can finally say that, a new voice is born.
Hey, this seems like a story about magic,
but in truth, it's always been a story about people.
The useless fragments you spilled
become stars for someone else.
