🌱 Feeling a little lighter. My recommendation for a 'Day Off Anniversary' that I practice every day
Do you find yourself blaming yourself in bed at night, thinking, 'I couldn't get that done today either...'?🌱
The more seriously you try, the more you tend to focus on what you're lacking and feel blue. That's exactly why I intentionally decide on 'things not to do' and celebrate them in a big way!
On nights when cooking feels like a chore 'Today is Delicatessen Anniversary!' I don't stand in the kitchen, I eat the store-bought food right out of the package, and I relax while watching TV.
When cleaning the room isn't going well 'Space Margin Anniversary!' Even if it's messy, I pretend I didn't see it and listen to my favorite music instead.
It's a waste to forget the comfort of the present moment while rushing toward an ideal goal. A calm feeling visits those quiet blank spaces created by such moderate slacking off.
What's important is not someone else's standards, but how much you were able to smile today. Let's praise our hardworking selves much more.

[Postscript] This was selected for a wonderful magazine.
To everyone who always kindly listens to the words I weave, the connection with each and every one of you who sends me 'Likes' and warm follows—which are my greatest support—is the source of my activities and my treasure.
This time, I wrote an article about the comfort of intentionally deciding on 'things not to do,' celebrating them, and praising your hardworking self a lot. I would be happy if this could be a trigger for readers who tend to focus only on what they lack and feel down because of their seriousness to suddenly relax their shoulders and regain their smiles in the calm blank space created by moderate slacking off.
