I was paying for "that person's thoughts." A story about how I, as someone who "writes" paid articles, nodded deeply at Fuji-san's article 🌿
First, for those who are new here. This is the kind of person I am👇👇

As someone who writes paid articles, I found myself pausing for a while in front of one particular article.
It was an article about paid articles, written by Fuji-san.
I am currently on the side of selling paid articles.
Thanks to everyone, I have started to have them purchased little by little.
However, after reading this article by Fuji-san,
I found myself looking back at my own foundation once again.
Today, while introducing Fuji-san's article,
"paying for a paid article"I would like to write about the true meaning of that.
🖇️ Fuji-san is a special person to me
First, let me write a little bit about Fuji-san.
Fuji-san is one of the people who has become deeply involved with me over the past month or so.
Previously, when I wrote an article called"Connections become stock"I also mentioned their name.
We exchanged comments, read each other's articles, and little by little,
I became drawn to the charm of Fuji-san's articles.
So, the reason I wanted to introduce Fuji-san's article this time,
is not because of a project or mutual promotion.
It is simply because the"feelings of the buyer"contained in this article came into me so directly.
That is all. It is precisely because of that one point that
I wanted to spread the word about how wonderful this article is.
💭 The one thing Fuji-san realized

Fuji-san wrote this.
That they were nervous about buying a paid article.
Even though I'm curious about what happens next, I can't press the purchase button.
If it's someone I interact with often, I wonder if they'll think I'm just trying to get on their good side.
If it's someone new, I wonder if they'll think, 'What's this all of a sudden?'
The amount is 100 yen, 300 yen, 500 yen.
It's no different from buying a drink at a convenience store.
I am satisfied with the amount.
And yet, for some reason, I feel nervous.
One day, Fuji-san realizes the reason for that.
The reason I was trying to pay money was not for the information in the article, but for that person's feelings.
——The moment I read this, something inside me just clicked.
That's right. That is exactly it.
The reason Fuji-san was nervous wasn't because of the price.
She was nervous about the weight ofreceiving the feelings of the 'person'on the other side.
🎁 We are not buying information
Fuji-san wrote about the psychology of people who buy paid articles by dividing it into four patterns.
Investment in one's future self.
Support and gratitude.
Interest born from a sense of closeness.
And, an invitation to a special place.
I could deeply nod at every one of these.
To be honest,
I have never bought anyone else's paid article yet.
Therefore, these four patterns were,
for me, a valuable perspective that let me seethe 'inside of the buyer'completely.
And there is only one thing that these four have in common.
No matter the pattern, we are not just buying'information'.
We are buying the change, gratitude, connection, and sense of specialness that lies beyond it.
In other words, we are paying money to the'person'who wrote that article.
If it were just information, you can get as much as you want in this day and age.
Even so, we choose to buy that person's article on note.
The reason is simple.
Because I like that person's words.
Because I was drawn to that person's way of thinking.
Fuji-san put that into words as the realization of the buyer.
🪞 Honestly, as someone on the 'writing side,' it hit home

This is what I wanted to write about the most.
Fuji-san's article struck the heart of me, who sells paid articles.
So, it would be a lie to say that I have zero feelings of “as long as it sells, it’s fine” somewhere in my heart.
However, Fuji-san's article quietly shook that way of thinking.
The people who buy are not paying for my 'information,' but for my 'thoughts.'
If that is the case,
As someone who writes, I must absolutely never think, “as long as it sells, it’s fine.”
I must think seriously about the people who buy my work and write for them.
Just as Fuji-san was so nervous before the purchase button, the readers are summoning their courage to try and receive my thoughts.I must respond to that courage with my most sincere thoughts.
I must respond to that courage with my most sincere thoughts.
🌱 And, what happens 'after' they buy
There is one more thing I realized.
It doesn't end with them buying it.
There are people who paid for and responded to my thoughts.
If so, I want to continue to respond to them properly.
Reply to comments carefully.
Value the relationship that follows.
This is very close to what Adlerian psychology calls “horizontal relationships.” The person who sells and the person who buys. Neither is above or below the other.
I write with my thoughts poured into it.
You receive those thoughts.
And so, a quiet trust builds up between us.
It is precisely after they have bought it that it becomes a time to nurture that trust.
Fuji-san's article reminded me of that.
🍃 In conclusion—receiving each other's thoughts directly
Fuji-san concluded it like this.
Note is a little different from places where information just flows and disappears.
It is a place where a person's life, way of thinking, and even their personality are properly engraved.
I feel exactly the same way from the side of the writer.
To those who will write paid articles from now on, I want to convey this.
It’s not about “as long as it sells, it’s fine.” I want you to think seriously about the people who will receive your thoughts directly, and write for them.
And I myself want to be that way even more from now on.
To those who buy paid articles, and also to those who will become writers from now on, I definitely want you to read this.
Surely, for you too, the meaning of "paying money" will change just a little bit.
What is an article you recently paid for because of "that person's feelings"? And if you are on the writing side—how seriously are you putting those feelings into it?
