The Vanished Charoite: A Natural Stone Story

In my work as a natural stone jewelry artist, there have been many memorable events.
Each encounter reflects a person's journey and feelings, as if I am watching a story unfold.

Today, I am going to tell you a story that was born between me and a natural stone.

Appearing again and again

For about half a year, Charoite has been appearing frequently in my power stone readings.

When I perform power stone readings for multiple people on the same day, it is common for several of them to get the same stone as their result.

A coincidence?
I believe that those who work with natural stones do not think so.

Every time Charoite appeared, I would tell my clients this:

"There is a misalignment."

I don't know what is misaligned.
But that is what Charoite is telling me.
So, I delivered those words to my clients exactly as they were.

The messages from power stone readings are basically intended for the clients. Therefore, I did not take them as being meant for myself.

Even when the same stone appeared repeatedly, I thought it was strictly a "message for the client."

The word "misalignment"

I started writing about myself on note.

While writing, I realized something.

I use the word "misalignment" quite often.

The feeling that my sense of things and the sense of those around me don't quite mesh. The feeling that something is "off."
I was expressing that with the word "misalignment."

And then, it suddenly occurred to me.

"There is a misalignment."
Perhaps that was a message for me as well.

Could it be that the repeated appearance of charoite was not only a message for the customer, but also a whisper directed at me?

Now, I have come to feel that way.

Charoite and White Jade Charm

In November, a customer ordered a charm made of charoite and white jade.

This combination was wonderful.

The combination of charoite and white jade felt like it cleared my senses and untangled my thoughts.

It was so good that I made a ring with the same combination. I made four types of charms, so I kept one for myself.

I attached that charoite and white jade charm to my smartphone.

It is good to talk to natural stones from time to time, like a dear friend.

That day, as I went to say something to it as usual and looked at my phone,

"Huh? It's gone."

Before I knew it, the charm had come off.

Of course, I looked around, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

When a stone leaves

At that moment, what came to mind was

"It has finished its role."

This is often said in the natural stone industry. If a bracelet's elastic snaps, it is said to have served as a substitute or finished its role.

For me, that is not just an industry phrase, but a phenomenon I have actually witnessed and come to understand.

My husband was unwell for a period of time.
At that time, he was wearing a healing natural stone bracelet.

One day, while we were out near the sea, my husband said, "This feels good," and as he stretched, the bracelet slipped off his wrist and fell into the ocean.

By that time, my husband had recovered significantly.

That is why, to me, it makes sense that this is what happens when a natural stone disappears.

The timing of the stone leaving and the change in a person's condition coincide. It might be a coincidence, or it might have meaning.

But at the very least, for me, it has accumulated as experiential knowledge that "these things happen."

The Message of Charoite

Charoite is famous as a "healing stone" and is said to be one of the world's three great healing stones.

However, there is another important keyword in the message of Charoite.

That is,"misalignment".

Charoite is generally known as a stone that eases negative emotions like fear and anxiety, bringing spiritual healing.
It is also often introduced as an amulet for avoiding danger.

However, fear and anxiety are not inherently "bad things." They are signs that appear when you are pushing yourself too hard or when your own senses and reality are not in sync.

Rather than a stone to erase anxiety, Charoite can be seen as a stone that quietly lets you know, "You are a little misaligned right now."

Just because there is a misalignment does not mean you are failing. If you can notice the misalignment, you can return to a place that suits you again.

It is a stone that carries such a message.

Knowing and Accepting Misalignment

Thinking about it now, I believe that Charoite appeared before me many times to let me know about my "misalignment."

It is not saying, "There is a misalignment, so do something about it."

It is saying, "There is a misalignment. But that is okay."

I was able to accept it that way because of the encounters I had on note, and because I was able to understand myself little by little while writing articles.

I encountered the phrase "ringing while out of tune," felt a sense of discomfort with manifestation work, and realized that I am not the "type that moves toward an ideal" but the "type that returns to the center."

And then, I learned that I am part of the aphantasia community.

The discomfort I had been dismissing by saying "I'm just weird" was something I could finally understand as "having different circuitry."

It was not about denying my own senses, but about accepting that it is okay to exist while being out of tune.

To a point where I can trust my sensibilities

I met Charoite, I met note, I learned about being out of tune, and I began to accept it.

Now, I feel that I may have been able to stand at a point where I can trust my own sensibilities.

And at that very moment, the Charoite charm departed.

Charoite had been speaking to me from the very beginning.

The message "there is a misalignment" that I had conveyed to customers many times was actually a message I needed to receive myself.

And so, the stone had finished its role.
