○ Habits to Get Closer to Your Dreams | January 18th Message: "A Step Toward Making Dreams Come True"
Good morning. This is Alford, a social worker.
Getters Iida's books are filled with
words that offer comfort for every date, and they
gently remind us of "important things" that we might
otherwise overlook.
I, too, am updating this series daily because I want to gain
new insights in my daily life. I would be happy if you could read it at the
start of your day.

■ January 18th Theme: "A Step Toward Making Dreams Come True"
Today's message is a bit unexpected, yet very practical:
"A step toward your dreams doesn't start with thinking in your head, but by tidying up your room."
Instead of taking a huge action all at once,
starting by organizing your immediate environment is the starting point.
It connects to that way of thinking.
■ Point 1: Dreams and your "room" are connected
If your room is cluttered and the air is stagnant, luck and fortune will escape, making it harder for your dreams to come true—
this is the basic philosophy.
Conversely, by
tidying up your room and letting go of unnecessary things, your mind will naturally become clearer, and
"the dreams you truly want to achieve" and "what you need to do now" will become visible.
This aligns with the
"cleaning philosophy" that Getters Iida repeatedly emphasizes.
■ Point 2: Cleaning is the "first step" toward your dreams
If you want to move toward your dreams, start by creating your environment.
Cleaning and organizing are said to have the power to remove
negativity (stagnation, sloppiness, self-loathing) and attract positivity
(inspiration, encounters, opportunities) into your life.
If you want to improve your luck, tidy up your room.
This simple message resonates in my heart many times today.
■ Point 3: Your "step" can be small
It's okay not to aim for perfection all at once.
Just the top of your desk today
Just one shelf today
Just the entryway today
A small area is enough.
Just by moving your hands a little, the feeling that 'Oh, I can take action' will emerge, and that will become the
foundation of your behavioral habits toward your dreams.
■ Today's Practical Tip
First, try picturing a dream you want to achieve. Then, try to imagine
'the state of a room befitting the person who achieves that dream'.
With that in mind, today, try to set aside
5 to 10 minutes to clean just one spot in your room.
Once you finish cleaning,
'The first step toward my dream started here'
try saying those words in your heart. That one phrase will become
a small resolve that continues into tomorrow.
