Atsuta Jingu ⇔ Togakushi Shrine "Iwatsu Tenmangu" Aichi Ley Line!? Connected to the Founder of the Toyota Group [Aichi Series/Mikawa Series/Nagoya Series]
Shrine Attraction!! Located in the center of the line connecting Atsuta Jingu (My NOTE) and Mikawa Province Ichinomiya, Togakushi Shrine (My NOTE) Okumiya. The Hattori family has served as priests for generations. Is it a coincidence that there is a Hattori Tenmangu in Hattori, Osaka?
If Hattori = Hata clan, perhaps my intuition about the Hata clan shrines in Toyokawa (My NOTE) was not wrong.
There is an anecdote that Sakichi Toyoda, the founder of the Toyota Group, came to worship here to pray for his health when he was a sickly child.

Commonly known as "Iwatsu Tenjin"
The deity is Sugawara no Michizane
1759: A spirit was invited from Egarayama Tenmangu (Basho Tenjin) in Kamakura
Initially enshrined in the temple's Kannon-do, but following a divine dream, a shrine was built at the current location in Higashiyama
Separated from the jurisdiction of Shinkoji Temple due to the Shinto and Buddhism Separation Order
1879: The shrine building was destroyed by fire
1900: A temporary festival for the reconstruction of the main hall was held
1911: The main hall of Iwatsu Tenmangu was restored
1919: The current worship hall was built
1971: Relocation of the Atsuta Jingu Shrine Office building

Parking is available, and I visited from the parking lot in front. From the ox on the Taiko Bridge and the shrine crest, I can tell it is Sugawara no Michizane. The official website refers to it as the 'Sacred Bridge' rather than the Taiko Bridge.
There is an 'Iwazu Kannon' to the left of the stairs, showing a syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism.

This Jizo statue has a mysterious power to divine your fortune. It is said that if you lift it while praying for your wish, and it feels light, your wish will come true. If it feels lighter than expected when your wish is granted, and if it is too heavy to lift, it means the time for your wish to be granted has not yet come.

Chant 'Harae-tamae, Kiyome-tamae' three times, blow your breath onto the earthenware plate (kawarake) three times, and throw it at the sacred 'Yakuwari-ishi' stone. By breaking the kawarake with the intention of cutting off bad things, you transfer your various misfortunes, calamities, sins, and impurities to the kawarake, and receive new strength.

Sugawara no Michizane's mother, Lady Tomo, was a devout follower of Kannon and raised Michizane with a profound heart. Iwatsu Kannon is a Kannon temple where one can receive blessings for child-rearing, just as Lady Tomo did.
