[note Strategy] Surpassed 6,000 followers in 159 days! Rather than a 100-point article, an 80-point overall strength is what gets read | 5 perspectives to improve article quality | Column | Gratitude

I have surpassed 6,000 followers on note.
To everyone who always reads my articles, thank you so much.
Since I started note, I have written about the note strategies I've thought of at every milestone of follower count.
At 4,000, it was about designing articles and accounts to be remembered.
At 4,500, it was about the flow to deliver good articles to those who need them.
At 5,000, it was about how to create a 'one-person editorial department' using AI.
At 5,500, it was about the creative flow from finding a question to delivering it to the reader.
And now that I've reached 6,000, what I've thought about again is,
What determines the quality of an article that gets read?
that is what I thought about.
When you keep doing note, there are times when you feel overwhelmed.
Writing that I couldn't possibly write myself.
A title that makes you want to click it without thinking.
An illustration that conveys a worldview at a glance.
A project that no one else could have thought of.
When I see articles like that,
'I don't have the talent, so I can't create an article like this,'
I sometimes think.
But now that I've continued to create articles until I've been followed by 6,000 people, I'm thinking something a little different.
There certainly aren't many people who can write a 100-point article.
However, couldn't many people aim to refine each element that makes up an article to their own 80-point level?
Instead of aiming for 100 points just with the writing, I refine the planning, writing, structure, visuals, and delivery method, each a little bit.
This time, at the milestone of 6,000 people, I will write about the idea of **'Five 80-point scores rather than one 100-point score.'**
※The scores here do not determine the value of the work itself. It is a metaphor to express how well an article is refined to be delivered to the reader.
Articles are not made of writing alone
I used to think that what was needed to write a good article was writing ability.
Increasing vocabulary.
Using beautiful expressions.
Writing a sentence that stays in the heart.
Of course, writing ability is important.
However, no matter how good the main text is, if you don't get interest with the title, the article won't be opened.
Even if the title is good, if the reader doesn't understand what is written at the beginning, they will leave.
Even if the content is good, if the structure is complex, it is tiring to read to the end.
And even if the article is finished, if there is no flow such as magazines, hashtags, or introduction text, it will not reach the people who need it.
Articles are not made of writing alone.
I think there are at least the following five elements.
① Planning/Idea
Who is it for, and what should I write?
What do I want them to take away when they finish reading?
② Writing
Is it easy to read and express what I want to convey without using too many difficult words?
③ Structure
Does the story not get lost along the way, and does it connect naturally from the beginning to the conclusion?
④ Visuals
Do the title, thumbnail, and illustrations match the content and atmosphere of the article?
⑤ Delivery method
Are there paths prepared for readers to reach the article, such as hashtags, magazines, and introduction text on SNS?
The combination of these five is the overall strength of the article.
Five 80-point scores rather than one 100-point score
For example, suppose there is someone whose writing ability is close to 100 points.
However,
Planning is 50 points.
Structure is 50 points.
Thumbnail is 40 points.
Delivery method is 30 points.
In this case, the writing might be buried before it reaches the reader.
Conversely, even if the writing is 80 points,
Planning is also 80 points.
Structure is 80 points.
Visuals are 80 points.
Delivery method is 80 points.
If each is refined to a certain level, the article as a whole becomes easier to read and easier to pick up.

Rather than having one outstanding talent, having few obvious weaknesses.
I think that is often stronger on note.
80 points means not inconveniencing the reader
So, what kind of state is an 80-point article?
I think it's not a state of being perfectly skilled, but a state where the reader is not inconvenienced.
It is clear who the article is for.
The title and the content of the main text match.
If you read the beginning, you can see the reason to continue reading.
The order of the story is organized.
Sentences are not too long, and there are appropriate line breaks.
The atmosphere of the article is conveyed from the thumbnail.
There is something that remains after finishing reading.
It does not mean that creative techniques are required for everything.
There are many parts that can be improved by reviewing them one by one from the reader's perspective.
80 points is not a work that only a genius can create.
It is an article that is not made sloppily and is refined into a form that is easy for the other party to receive.
Not just continuing, but fixing one by one
What is important is not just repeating the same thing, but improving one thing each time.
People who have repeated thinking, creating, and fixing are never in the same place as they were at the beginning.
In the first 10 articles, be conscious of the title.
In the next 10 articles, review the beginning.
After that, refine the structure.
Next, devise the thumbnail and how to show things within the article.
If you try to make everything perfect at once, posting itself becomes painful.
But if you do it one by one, you can change it.

If the writing is 60 points, first aim for 70 points.
If the structure is 50 points, aim for 60 points in the next article.
If you are not good at thumbnails, observe the articles of people who are easy to read.
By raising the weak parts little by little like that, the entire article approaches 80 points.
Going from 90 to 100 points requires different time
From 80 to 90 points.
From 90 to 100 points.
As the level of perfection increases, the time required also increases.
Rewriting one expression many times.
Searching for a perspective that no one else has.
Adjusting the structure until the subtle discomfort disappears.
There, not only technology but also the experience and sensibility that the person has accumulated are involved.
To get closer to 100 points, it can sometimes take an enormous amount of time.
And if you try to make every article 100 points, you won't be able to post.
That's why I think that even if you aim for 100 points, it doesn't have to be a condition for publishing.
Once you have refined it to the 80 points you can do now, try delivering it to the reader once.
Receive the reaction and make the next article a little better.
That repetition can sometimes take you further than continuing to search for 100 points alone.
Accumulating 80-point articles
Trying to write one 100-point article and stopping for months.
Rather than that, deliver an article refined to your own 80 points, and improve one thing in the next article.
That accumulation raises the quality of the entire account.
A person who has made 100 80-point articles is not in the same place as the first 80 points.
In the process, 90-point articles are sometimes born.
Sometimes you find strengths you didn't notice yourself.
Sometimes you can see the theme you should write next through the words you received from readers.

It's not that you write because you have talent, but the time you have spent writing, fixing, and delivering shapes that person's talent.
The quality of an article is not determined by writing ability alone.
Planning.
Writing.
Structure.
Visuals.
Delivery method.
You don't have to have one 100-point score.
Aim for five 80-point scores and refine them one by one.
Rather than waiting for 100 points and stopping, deliver the 80 points you can create now.
I think that accumulation will eventually bring articles that only that person can create.

Passing the baton to 5 people moving in the same direction
The trigger for writing this text was the 'note version Pay It Forward Project' started by LaLaLa-san, and Kaiun Sherpa-san who passed that baton to me.
In Kaiun Sherpa-san's article, not only their name and title, but also what they value and what attitude they use to deliver words were carefully depicted.
Introduction is not about lining up information, but about handing over trust in that person. I felt that support is not about evaluating from above, but about finding and conveying the charm of 'here is such a person'.
So I, too, would like to pass the baton to the 5 people who are currently supporting the 'Chibi Creative Award' together.
Not friends, but calling those who move in the same direction companions!
We have different personalities, ways of writing, and roles we are good at. Even so, the direction of wanting to create a place where someone can create works with peace of mind and where those works reach the people who need them is the same.

A person who creates a place where each individual's personality lives
The first person I want to introduce is Kawacchi, the organizer of the 'Chibi Creative Award'.
Kawacchi's greatness is not just in coming up with interesting projects. They carefully organize the participation method, posting rules, and judging flow so that even first-time participants can take a step without getting lost, carefully preparing the entrance to the project.
The fact that they created a form where each judge can have their own theme and worldview, rather than summarizing the six booths into one correct answer, also shows Kawacchi-ness.
While it is a project they organize, they do not fill it with only their own color. While standing in front, they leave margins where the personalities and strengths of the people around them can be seen.
Not just gathering people, but creating a place where each can demonstrate their power with peace of mind. Kawacchi is a person who bundles companions with different colors into one big project.

A person who has trust in the other party behind strong words
Aniki's writing is sharp and straight.
Instead of wrapping things in beautiful words, they throw what they felt head-on in their own words. People reading for the first time might be a little surprised by that strength.
However, the more you read the articles, the more you realize that that severity is not for hurting or looking down on someone.
What Aniki is looking at is not just conspicuous results or flashy success. They value the small fire that is kept protected in a place no one sees, and the time that is accumulated even if it is not rewarded immediately.
Instead of easily reaching out and fixing the other person as a 'person to be helped', they believe in the power of that person to stand up themselves.
'If it's you, you can stand on your own feet.'
I think that because there is such trust, the words also become strong. Aniki is a person who does not easily abandon the challenges of companions and continues to believe in the resolve and potential within that person.

A person who moves first and returns what they gained to their surroundings
If I were to describe Yama-san, the word 'action' would fit best.
Not only setting big goals, but actually moving their hands, trying, continuing, and producing results. That overwhelming amount of action has more persuasiveness than just saying 'let's challenge' with words alone.
However, Yama-san's charm is not just the size of the numbers and achievements.
They do not make the attention and experience they gained by challenging their own, but try to return it to the project and the people around them. Even for the 'Chibi Creative Award', they moved to support it in a way they could, rather than just watching from the outside.
Instead of waiting for a perfect answer that everyone understands, they decide and move by themselves first, and learn from the results. I think that because they have that attitude, they can jump into things that have the possibility of failure.
Yama-san's actions do not end with themselves alone. They have the power to make people who see their back think, 'I'll start something too'.

A person who expands the entrance to creation with brightness and playfulness
Akanechin's articles always have laughter and momentum.
A one-of-a-kind worldview called 'Space Rare Beast' and writing that jumps around freely. There is a bright energy that advances while involving readers, and it naturally relaxes the shoulders of those who read.
However, that brightness does not mean treating things or works lightly.
When introducing the works that arrived, they read each one carefully, and pick up with their own words what the author felt and what kind of experience and perspective the author put into the work.
Not just ending with 'it was interesting' or 'it was wonderful', but trying to find where the author's personality appeared in that work. There is a very delicate kindness in that gaze.
Even to those who feel 'it's scary to enter among amazing people', they convey with friendly words and playfulness, 'it's okay, let's enjoy it first'.
Akanechin is a person who changes difficult questions into a bright entrance where everyone can take a step, rather than handing them over as difficult.

A person who delivers the wind for the other party to start walking
Amano Shizuku-san's writing has a stillness that reaches the heart without raising a voice.
Instead of strongly pulling someone from the front, they watch from a little behind until the moment that person starts walking with their own will. I feel a kindness like gently sending wind to the back only when necessary.
Being close and deciding the answer on behalf of the other party are different.
While delivering kind words, Amano Shizuku-san does not take away the power of what the person who received them feels and which path they choose.
Even when introducing works, they do not repaint them with their own words, but carefully convey the outline so as not to break the atmosphere or emotion that the work originally had.
Also, to protect the place where everyone can continue creating with peace of mind, they also have the strength to call for caution when necessary.
Kindness is not just being calm, but watching over the person so they can move on their own feet while protecting the other party and the place. Amano Shizuku-san is a person who delivers a quiet tailwind to the backs of companions.

Because we have different roles, we can become companions
A person who organizes projects and creates a place where each individual's personality lives.
A person who believes in the fire and potential within companions with strong words.
A person who acts first and returns what they gained to their surroundings.
A person who expands the entrance to creation with brightness and playfulness.
A person who quietly stays close and sends wind for that person to start walking.
The 5 people are not doing the same thing.
Their ways of thinking, expressions, and roles they are good at are different.
However, choosing the same method and moving in the same direction are different.
Because they are 5 people with different roles, a wide place for creation is born that cannot be made by the values of just one person.
The support and kindness I received, this time to the 5 people moving in the same direction.
With gratitude and respect, I pass the baton of Pay It Forward.
The note version Pay It Forward Project is held by LaLaLa-san.
