To be myself, in my own way. [Creative Awards 2026 Hype Plaza] (#CreativeAwardsImpressions)

This is a corner for a 'Review Project' where I write impressions of the entries gathered in the [Creative Awards 2026 Hype Plaza].

Foglotus: The Cursed Blacksmith / Akihide Akahoshi

Despite being high fantasy, proper nouns and world-building are explained as they appear, and this very helpful narrative style allows the reader to follow along without getting lost. In particular, the system where 'a race name and title are attached before the name' is logical. The story progresses at a good tempo, and there are small climaxes throughout, so I felt that effort was put into keeping the reader engaged.

I Wish You Were My Little Sister - I Got a Brother on the Day I Was Dumped / Yo

I imagined a 'heartbreaking breakup story' from the title (which is an element of it), but the subsequent developments betrayed my expectations. It is a strange relationship, yet there is a solid bond there, and I felt that family titles might just be words after all. The words from the 'senior in life' at the end leave a lingering weight that drifts like a scent.

The Sound of Morning Beginning / Akutanohana

While the beginning makes you chuckle, the harsh reality of daily life stings the heart. I imagine this is a common parenting experience. Overall, it is an essay that leans towards the serious, but the writing style is light, so it doesn't become too dark.
The 'Pwa~~~' sound effectively divides the timeline and plays a role in helping the reader switch scenes. It also has high consistency with the title.
