I understand, but it doesn't resonate. When that happens, look not at the "correctness," but at the "feeling."
I understand, so I want to take action.
And yet, somewhere inside,
it doesn't resonate... and I can't move.
Have you ever
been in that state?
(At times like this, there can be a gap between your words and your feelings.)
➤ What happens when words and feelings are out of sync
I can think about it.
I can put it into words.
But when asked if
that means I'm "convinced,"
it feels a bit different...
At those times, what I was doing
was "trying to choose correctly."
I compared many options,
and I'm sure I chose properly.
And yet, it doesn't quite click.
The choice, and what I tried to do,
was not wrong.
But for some reason, the "like" factor is weak.
I realized later that
the order was a little off.
I feel that conviction is
less about "arriving there through thought"
and more about something that
later overlaps as a feeling,
like, "Oh, this might be it."
For example,
Like when you pick something up because it caught your eye, and
you gradually start to like it more and more later on.
Like the feeling where you can't explain the reason, but
a sense of 'this is somehow nice' remains.
I think this sensation
is similar to window shopping,
I feel.
You look at many things,
touch them just a little,
and somehow pass them by.
At that moment, you 'saw' them, and
'that's cute,' 'I like this,' 'that's lovely,'
'what would I pair this with from what I already have?'
you might even think about those things.
But, it ends there.
It feels like nothing is left behind.
When something truly resonates,
perhaps there is just a little bit more
of a 'hook' there.
In a good way, it lingers a little.
You remember it later, or
you find yourself wanting to touch it again.
Therefore,
when looking for a place to settle on,
rather than 'whether I chose correctly,'
I look at 'what remains within me.'
Does a sense of lightness remain?
Or is there a snag somewhere?
I think that by making such observations,
you can get closer.
When I learned about entrepreneurship.
When I started writing on note.
When I learned coaching and
thought, "Alright, let's move!"
When a feeling of not quite resonating remained,
I found myself unable to move no matter what.
In order to move.
Even though I should have learned.
I would stop.
But perhaps that was because
I was trying to move forward
while leaving my own feelings behind.
(If this state continues, it can sometimes lead to difficulty in taking action.)
➤ If your feelings are left behind, you cannot move no matter how much you understand.
Instead of "trying to choose correctly,"
when I turned my attention to "how I am feeling,"
suddenly,
"Well, maybe I'll try this one"
I became able to think that way.
"Conviction" is,
rather than something you create,
something you become aware of.
If recently, even though you chose properly,
you find yourself thinking, "I can't move..."
If you try to observe your feelings just a little,
by asking, "How am I feeling right now?"
a trigger to start moving smoothly
might come to you.
(I am touching on hints for not leaving your feelings behind.)
➤ Rather than self-evaluation, honest "self-congruence"
See you later!
