A woman in her late 20s becomes a Lolita. | A follow-up to my first visit to Laforet Harajuku

The other day, I went to Laforet Harajuku for the first time to look for an outfit to wear to afternoon tea.

In the end, I didn't buy anything at Laforet Harajuku, but I did manage to get an outfit to wear to afternoon tea.

It was so cute that I couldn't really imagine myself wearing it, but I bought it on impulse. My state of mind at that time was #nothing_short_of_crazy.

So, as a follow-up, I've decided to record my afternoon tea experience wearing that overly cute outfit.

This time, I went to Cafe Acolyte in Mejiro.

This is what you call natural 'moe' sleeves, manager.

The seasonal afternoon tea set I ordered this time was Christmas-themed.

Not only can you choose your favorite tea from a wide variety of flavored teas,

but

you can also choose a teapot that suits your taste

The shapes were all so unique that I wanted to spend about an hour just choosing one. I chose one shaped like a house.

I was also able to choose my cake, and I could even choose the plate it was served on. Here is how it all looked once it was set on the table.

The star of the show, the tea stand, features sandwiches on the bottom, scones and macarons in the middle, and financiers shaped like rabbits and bears on the very top.

It's a waste to eat it. What should I do?

This one is especially hard to eat...

I suppressed the urge to just stare at it forever and finally took a bite.

Sigh. Why do sweets make me feel so happy?
Consuming a massive amount of cuteness while dressed in a cute outfit was the best.
I know it's all in my head, but I felt like I enjoyed it even more because I went dressed like this. Clothes really are important, aren't they?

That was so much fun. The 90 minutes flew by.

Anyway, we were completely full and successfully finished paying in cash.

Friend: "What shall we do now?"
Me: "I brought the Starish solo concert disc (*1), want to watch it?"
Friend: "Oh, I do. Is Pasela (*2) okay?"

With that, my friend booked the place at the speed of light. She is the embodiment of initiative.

Thanks to spending my 20s surrounded by active otaku like her, I was pulled along and became more light-footed myself. I must be grateful to my friend.

And so, we headed straight to Pasela after leaving the restaurant and held a smooth viewing party for our favorite characters. My friend, thank you so much for joining me.

After we parted ways, she said, "It was the best to watch our favorites while dressed in formal attire," which made me happy.

Regarding the Starish solo performance, I wasn't doing notes yet at the time of the Sendai performance we watched this time, but I wrote a report on the Yokohama performance this summer. Even though it's not really a report.

↑ When I wrote this article, there was no outlook for the future of UtaPri, but after this, it was announced that a new movie would be released in May 2025.

A new Conan movie will also be released in April, and there's the Gnosia anime I wrote about the other day, so next year is going to be busy!
