Dreams Were an Extension of My Thoughts | Career Design to Make Dreams Come True #3
Thank you so much for the many comments on our campaign about the jobs you wanted to have when you were a child!
Thank you for all the comments!
Based on the results of the comment campaign, I created a ranking of childhood dreams, and this is the article. The ranking is finally complete.
I have organized the ranking in this article by job category.
🥇 1st Place: Specialized/Research-related jobs
🥇 1st Place (tie): Shop-related jobs
🥇 1st Place (tie): Singer/Entertainer/Performance-related
🥈 2nd Place: Creative/Content-related
🥈 2nd Place (tie): Athlete
🥉 3rd Place (tie): Technical jobs
🏅 4th Place: Customer service jobs
Looking at the ranking,
I started to feel like there was another side to it.
For example, in my case, I aspired to be a newspaper reporter.
In my previous article, I wrote about what I, who became a teacher after my dream was shattered,
thought about my students.
I want the words that come out of my mouth to be words that convince myself.
You also brought this up in the comments section.

I think these words were
the thoughts deep within my heartprecisely because I wanted to work as a newspaper reporter,
a job that conveys the truth in one's own words. That is what I believe.
Perhaps the longing for a childhood dream
grew into athoughtduring the process of growing up.
What kind of thoughts did your longing grow into?
With what kind of feelings did you
nurture your childhood longing into a thought?
In my case, wanting to be a newspaper reporter, it was this thought.
I want to convey what is right and the truth to the world in my own words.
Using the jobs you commented on as examples,
I imagined what kind of thoughts those longings grew into.
For entertainers, novelists, and game creators,
I want to deliver inspiration to people's hearts and influence someone.
For cake shop owners, bookstore owners, and toy store owners,
I want to be surrounded by things I love and things that excite me
Doctors, researchers, and scientists,
want to be useful to the world and save someone
Athletes,
want to test their own strength and express themselves through hard work
This is just my imagination, but
what do you think?
From your dreams,
were there any thoughts that led to what followed?
Do those thoughts connect to who you are right now?
Rather than whether a dream came true, I think
thinking about what kind of thoughts were inside that dream
might have a better influence on your future life and career.
Looking back at your childhood dreams,
you might find hints that connect to your current self.
I am currently compiling articles about thinking about dreams and ways of working
in the "Career Design Magazine to Make Dreams Come True."
Also, based on dreams and past experiences,
I am writing a comprehensive paid article
to help you design your future career in your own words.
Today, I thought about the direction of the article.
Starting from childhood dreams,
by analyzing the transition of dreams during the growth process and the thoughts behind them,
I am thinking of content that will help you draw a better career blueprint.
I will work diligently on writing it with the goal of publishing it within March.
