[Fugue Poem/Tanka Series] Wild Dance
Light shines in, I squint one eye and look up
A single white egret, where did it come from?
Following it with my eyes, the gray sky beyond
A loosening of light in the break of the rainy season
A sigh and a slight breeze mingle together
Wondering what color it is, a laugh escapes
Planting colors in a fleeting moment
Asking it when it will bloom
For the sake of tomorrow, such reasons for words
I know nothing of them, now is for now
Gathering the words I heard and spread out
This bouquet I pass on to the next
◇
Gathering the words I heard and spread out
This bouquet I pass on to the next
The wind blows, with the lingering scent I hold to my chest
I open the lid and the cola is cold
The fizzing bubbles are dancing with joy
Watching them from the corner of my eye, I clatter away at the keys
Clear and bright, the amber-colored tumbler
As it slides down my throat, the sound of the tide draws near
8:00 PM, the sweet and alluring strawberry moon
Pursed lips, a raspy tone
Shut down, as the lukewarm breeze tickles me
Just the moon and me, all alone
◇
Shut down, as the lukewarm breeze tickles me
Just the moon and me, all alone
Closing my eyes, I let out a sigh at two in the morning
The moon's shadow has vanished before I knew it
A night where only the refrigerator light is dazzling
I stuck my face right into it
"What am I doing, I wonder"
Water droplets falling with a plop onto the living room floor
Taking a shower with everything I've got
Wishing for it all to just wash away
Collapsing onto my back with a thud
All alone
Craving something, I licked my lips
The fugue poem I wove with Kohaxiss-san and Kohan-san has reached its final installment.
Kohaxiss-san
Kohan-san
To put it in a word, it was truly fun.
The joy of receiving words.
The joy of lowering my consciousness deep into that world, weaving words of my own, and gently handing them over.
When I look at the tapestry woven from our individual threads, I am surprised by the mysterious synchronicity, and I find myself laughing or feeling deeply moved.
I was truly able to spend such a dense, rich time. I think that when I look back on my life in the future, this will surely become a sparkling memory that makes me think, 'Ah, that was fun.'
Why do I feel that way?
At this age, living with my family, struggling at work, adjusting schedules and household matters—even if I occasionally go mountain climbing with friends, there is nothing else in my life where I can create something with someone else.
I am simply, purely grateful to Kohaxiss-san and Kohan-san.
And to you, who accompanied us, I offer my heartfelt gratitude.
[Postscript]
I am eating a candy called Twinkle. The egg-shaped chocolate is hollow, and when you crack it with your front teeth, it is a very dreamy treat filled with marble chocolates and ramune candies inside. It even contains a cute sticker, and the colorful wrappers make my heart flutter. I cannot tear open such cute wrappers violently like a starving beast. However, the downside is that this cute paper is thin and tears easily. It is essential to sharpen my nerves and peel it off carefully so it doesn't rip. After successfully doing so, I even get the satisfaction of keeping it in a beautiful square shape. It is not an expensive lunch or a trendy sweet you have to wait in line for, but my own luxury that I can afford with just a few coins. It is a special existence that I rarely reach for even when I see it at the supermarket. I enjoy it secretly during my work break and happily put the glittering sticker into my desk drawer. There, I found one sticker from a few years ago, shining brightly. Ah. I must have enjoyed a secret luxury in the corner of the office just like this on that day, too. I thought I had changed wonderfully since a year before I started note. But I hadn't really changed at all. I didn't ask, but thank you for telling me even that. Enchanting Twinkle.
