'SNS says A, textbooks say B, and my senior at work says C. Who on earth should I believe?'
Are you drowning in a flood of information and losing confidence in your own judgment with every session?
When I debuted 25 years ago, the situation was the exact opposite.
Information was scarce in Japan, and to learn the latest, I had no choice but to order original books from America via Amazon and struggle with English texts.
I had to cross the ocean (virtually, though) myself to go and get the real information.
Back then, I suffered from an 'absence of information,' but now we live in an era of 'information overload.'
If you search online, you can find what looks like an answer immediately.
Yet, it doesn't work in the field.
Even if I tell a client 'squats start from the feet' 1,000 times, the client in front of me doesn't change.
I created this place for young trainers who are so frustrated they can't sleep at night because of the helplessness of not being able to instantly identify the correct answer.
Installing 'Expert Thinking Circuits'
What young trainers need is not to cram in new knowledge.
It is the [Expert Thinking Circuits] to connect existing knowledge and derive the optimal solution.
For example, even for a single error in movement, I analyze it from multiple angles using the following '5 layers'.
Joint structure and range of motion: Is it physically capable of moving in the first place? (Resolving blockages)
Muscle strength and output: Is the switch turned on at the necessary phase? (Identifying weaknesses)
Daily movement patterns: Are the habits of the remaining 23 hours getting in the way? (Motor learning)
Sensation and perception: Is the body image in the brain accurate? (Eliminating fear)
Coaching: Are you choosing words that won't be error-converted by the brain? (Optimizing how you communicate)
Content Provided (Logi-Tre Standard)
5-6 times a month, I will deliver deep-dive articles based on the following four pillars.
[Research Summary & Commentary] Translating the latest training/nutritional science to the field level
[Anatomy & Physiology Reboot] Reconfirming basic knowledge that you think you know but cannot explain
[Case Study Research] Revealing actual success stories and the logic used at the time
[Practical Techniques] Cueing and assessment methods you can use in tomorrow's session
Article Summary: Breaking the spell of 'Full Range is Absolute Justice'.
Updating the 'Full Range Absolutism' that young trainers often fall into, using the latest evidence.
Muscle hypertrophy or strength improvement Clear distinction of range of motion settings based on the goal.
Effectiveness of 'Long-Length Partials': Based on Pedrosa et al. (2022), why partial repetitions in a stretched muscle state are advantageous for muscle hypertrophy.
On-site decision criteria: How to logically play your cards by intentionally staying in the 'bottom' area without standing all the way up for clients with ankle restrictions.
Graduate from 'just because' coaching
You no longer need to struggle alone in the field.
Turn tomorrow's session from 'uncertainty' to 'conviction'. Let's take that first step here.
