Collaboration Project | A project to summon creators by reusing past works | A new form of collaborative creation | Image generation AI | Creation | Experiment | Note operation | #303
“Oh no, my next main article is still too heavy.
But I want to put something out.”
When you're creating, you sometimes get into this state, right?
I do.
I really do.
It's not that I've completely run out of ideas.
There are sequels I want to write.
There are also ones that are partially developed in my head.
But you know.
Those kinds of sequels are usually heavy.
I want to write them properly.
I want to organize them properly.
I don't want to just throw them out there sloppily.
So, I end up wanting a “bridge” before that.
And so, I’ve come up with something strange again.
That’s right.
I’ll invite other creators into the world of the images I’ve created so far, I thought.
No, you’re probably thinking, “What are you talking about?”
I’m thinking that a little bit myself while writing this.
But I think this might actually be interesting.
Past works sometimes end up sleeping in the “forest of folders,” don't they?
Image generation is super fun in the moment.
“Wow, I made something great!”
“I love this worldview!”
“This is a winner!”
You feel that way.
But then, after that.
Before you know it, there are quite a few images that are quietly saved and then disappear into the forest of folders, right?
You put so much effort into making it, only to post it once and be done.
That's a bit of a waste.
So, what do we do?
Play with past works all over again.
And not just by tinkering with them alone, but by
summoning other creators into the mix,
and reconstructing them into a brand new piece.
This is more than just reuse; it'sreincarnation.
Is that an exaggeration?
Maybe, but that's pretty much what it feels like.
Why did I come up with a project like this?
The reason is simple, and there are three of them.
1. It's a countermeasure for running out of ideas.
It's exactly as it sounds.
"Before writing a heavy article, I want to put out something nice."
But if I'm going to post something, I want it to be something I find interesting too.
I didn't want to just write a normal diary entry or force myself to talk about lessons learned; I wanted to make it a project that's genuinely fun to play with.
The result is this.
2. Past works get to live again.
There are quite a few images I've made in the past whose composition, world-building, and color palettes
can still be used.
When you add someone else's character or atmosphere to that,
the same foundation suddenly shows a completely different expression.
When you actually try it, it's surprisingly interesting.
3. There might be demand for it.
I'm being honest here.
Sometimes, things you start just for fun end up becoming
"Oh, there are actually people who want that."
It happens, you know.
In that case, I'll start by trying it out lightly.
If the response is good, I'll refine the specifications and turn it into a service.
To put it in venture-speak, it's market research.
……Well, maybe it's more on the commercial side, though.
First, for up to 5 people, for free.
So, as an experiment, I'm thinking of starting with:
Free for the first 5 people
I'm thinking of trying it out.
What I'll do is simple:
Insert you into the worldview of my past works
Apply your character feel or atmosphere
Make it into a single image that can be used on Note or social media
Something like that.
Regarding the created images,
the assumption is that you can basically use them for your own posts or saving.
However, for commercial use or sales, there are rights issues with the original images, so please consult individually if necessary for that.
I'm still in the middle of creating the specifications here.
If you suddenly go global, I'd be surprised too.
The experiment collaborator this time was Nenkoro-san.
This time, as usual,
I had Nenkoro-san help with the experiment.
I'm really grateful.
In projects like this, the first step is the most important.
Without a concrete example, it's hard for the reader to imagine it.
So first,
"You can play like this"
I wanted to show that form.
Creation is fun even when you're doing it alone.
But the moment you involve someone else, it can suddenly transform.
This time, it was exactly that feeling.
This project is probably suitable for people like this
People who want to put their own icons or characters into a different world
People who want slightly unusual collaboration images
People who want fun images to use on note or social media
People who want to jump on board while thinking, 'KITAcore is doing something weird again'
I feel like the last one is the most common.
But that's fine too.
The application requirements are quite loose
For now, I'm thinking something like this.
How to apply
Just give me a shout saying 'I want to be included'
Send me your icon or reference images if you have them
Specifying the mood is also OK
Example: Darker, cuter, American comic style, etc.
Things I can probably do
Insert you into my existing image worlds
Character approximation
Mood approximation
Create a single image for note or social media
Things that are still vague
Handling of full commercial use
Number of revisions
Handling detailed requests
How many patterns to provide
I'll decide these things after I've tried it out first.
In other words, this project is more of a phase where I build the specifications while playing around, rather than a finished service.
Notes
The final result will be based on the KITAcore-style worldview
I want to accommodate requests as much as possible, but depending on the content, there may be cases where I cannot follow them completely
You understand, right? There is a possibility that the original form will not remain intact
The images created this time may be used as experiment logs or examples in my note articles
If you have any concerns like 'I'd rather not have it posted in an article' or 'I want to remain anonymous,' please let me know in advance and I will accommodate you
In the end, what do I want to do with this?
Organizing it for myself, I think there are these three things I want to do.
To circulate past works as assets once again
To create new pictures while playing with other creators
To properly shape it if there is demand for it
In other words,
I'm wandering between play, experimentation, and business, triggered by running out of ideas
That's what it's about.
I must say, it's very much like me.
If the response is good, I will turn it into a service as is.
I'll be honest about this too.
If
"I want that"
"I want you to do that"
actually gathers, then I think it might be fine to turn it into a service as is.
At first, it's just play.
But if there is demand within that play, then that is already a fine sprout.
In the world of creation,
things that look trivial at first glance
can actually grow quite well, you know.
This time, it's also about sowing those seeds.
So, I am looking for heroes.
If there is a hero who says,
I don't mind being summoned into the world of my past works
, then give me a shout.
I plan to try it for free for the first 5 people.
Even if you're just "a little curious," that's totally fine.
Actually, that lightness suits this project better.
Before writing a heavy sequel,
I have created another strange detour.
But you know,
you can find interesting scenery from these kinds of detours.
Probably.
So, if you're interested, please feel free to join.
Nenkoro-san, thank you so much again this time.
And I am waiting for the next experimental collaborator.
