[Job Hunting] Why Searching by Conditions Makes Your Heart Feel Empty | Heart | Passion | Career | Working

Measuring the numbers and specs lined up on the screen with a rational yardstick,
and searching to see if they match my requirements.

Before I know it,
I am looking at companies through the filter of "conditions."

そう選んでいくと、
心が閉じていく。
心が荒んでいく。

Choosing by conditions is reasonable,

and it is by no means a bad thing.

Companies, too, are desperate for "people who fit their conditions."

It is perfectly reasonable for us to seek "good conditions" as well.

However, when you choose only by conditions,
you end up feeling a sense of emptiness somewhere.

なにか足りない。

Rational choices might be a lack of self-trust

If I am not careful, I immediately pull out my rational yardstick.
I don't want to fail. I don't want to lose out.

Perhaps looking through "conditions" means I cannot trust myself.

But chasing only conditions,
and leaving my heart behind,
is such a waste, even though I am going to the trouble of working.

Let's benefit from the company's passion

The time spent job hunting should originally be more luxurious.
For this period only, you can go and meet adults you would never have crossed paths with otherwise,
regardless of your position.

For every company, there is someone's "passion."
Opportunities to listen to that head-on and engage in dialogue,

do not come around many times in life.

Let's imagine for a moment,
what kind of life would I have if I worked under that person?

I want to see how they live

No matter how good the conditions are, the time spent in a place that doesn't move your heart,
surely won't last long.

Even while holding the shield of conditions,
if you can reach out for the "excitement" hidden behind them,
choosing a job should become more fun and more human.

「何を成し遂げたいのか」
「どう生ききたいのか」

I want to have conversations that touch upon a person's very "way of life."

Keep the yardstick of conditions to protect yourself.
But, when you finally take that step forward,

心のアンテナを信じてみたい。

Job hunting is something that doesn't happen many times in life.
If you're going to do it, you might as well enjoy it.
