[7 PM] Why not become a working professional teacher? "Someone who visualizes progress signs during work to discover problems early"
You, too, are already a "teacher"
The work you do normally today,
might actually become a "lesson" for someone else.
A working professional's "common sense" is someone else's "amazing" in the future.
When you think about it that way, doesn't it make your heart beat a little faster?
What is a "working professional teacher"?
Have you ever heard the term "working professional teacher"?
This is not limited to school teachers.
You, who gave advice to a junior colleague.
You, who talked about life to your children.
You, who stood by a subordinate's troubles.
――Each of those moments is the very image of a teacher.
A working professional's "experience" becomes teaching material
After working as a journalist, I now teach Japanese at a high school.
Standing in the classroom every day, I think,
"A working professional's experience is the best teaching material."
You don't need major achievements or qualifications.
Just put your experience into words and hand it to someone.
With just that, you are already a fine "working professional teacher."
Real "teachers" who actually existed
For example—
・A "communicating teacher" who can laugh while talking about failures
・An "HR teacher" who spoke while holding back tears at the entrance ceremony
・A "father teacher" who reads books to his children
・A "nursing teacher" who conveys the weight of life with their back
・A "re-learning teacher" who started writing about their experience on note
Every teacher was pushing someone forward with their words.
That figure is undoubtedly a "working professional teacher."
And you are one of them
You, too, are a teacher.
Even if you haven't been introduced,
even if your name isn't in this article,
you, who spoke words to someone today, are already a teacher.
You might think, "I didn't mean to."
But the other person might have been saved by your words.
They might have gained the courage to take a step forward.
That one word is proof of "you as a teacher."
Words of teachers shining on note
What I am introducing here are five "teachers" I met on note.
1. Building systems for professional firms | President's right-hand man/Leader development support | Takayuki Hirahara | Representative Teacher of Conatus Management Co., Ltd.
"How to deal with anger — How to handle 'when you get angry' by learning from Chinese classics"
2. Toto-sensei
'A single comment, "Those are new shoes, aren't they?", changed the conversation. — Communication born from the power of wanting to know'
3. Yasu | The Chemist Teacher who knows the field
'On days when you're too tired from work to do anything, decide on one place to return to'
4. Nagisa Hayasaka-sensei
'The magic water that dramatically changes supermarket sashimi and how to spot a supermarket with strong fresh fish 🌈'
5. KSK871 @ One-page Diagrammer | Teacher of learning notes for those who want to take a step forward
'One-page Reading #16 | The Japanese beauty that dwells in darkness | The perspective that shadows accentuate the light'
Your words, too, are surely remaining
Even if they aren't flashy words,
even if you don't have a special title,
there are moments when just a single word can push someone forward.
A single word you said to a junior colleague.
A story of your own failure you told your child.
Advice based on experience you gave to a coworker.
All of those are "a teacher's words."
To you, who hasn't been introduced yet
In this note, I will continue to introduce such "working professional teachers."
But, in truth—
it is "you," who hasn't been introduced yet, who is surely a teacher that will remain in someone's life.
Your experience will change someone's future.
You are the teacher.
Afterword
Thank you for reading this far.
I am sure you, too, are someone who has supported others with your words.
If these words today have remained in your heart even a little,
I would be happy if we could exchange words here again.
Your experience and words
are pushing someone forward today, too.
